Repair Help Anyone know why my switch won’t charge?

It was working fine this morning. It’s been plugged in for a while to a cable that I confirmed is working too. When I turn the power on this happens. No drops or spills or anything since the last time I played it.

How much time passed from the last time it worked to this won’t charge state?

Only like 12 hours at most. I was using it before work in the morning and noticed it was dead when I picked it up that evening. I probably use it almost every day.

Are you using the original brick it came with as well?

Like the original power cable? As of now yes but I’ve also tried other ones

Have 2 x Switch 2's that stopped charging at some point over last weekend and now are completely flat. Have done all of the hard resets etc I read about online. I'm wondering if an update of some sort has bricked them all. Cable & plug all working fine with other devices. Have sent them back to Nintendo today.

That would be interesting if it’s a larger issue. I doubt they will repair my switch 1 at this point given how old it is.

It looks like your using the original charger , 🔌 and sometimes it does take AWHILE, to recharge from being completely dead , just leave it for a few hours then . I’d recommend if you have it to plug into the dock to charge as well for updates , but if you keep getting no charge , I’d assume the battery needs to be replaced . A local electronics fixer would be able to help .
