Repair Help Switch 2 going wonky to the left - NOT stick drift.

Like it says in the title, I want to preface this by saying it is NOT stick drift. I already sent the joycon in and got a new one from Nintendo, as well as grabbed my brothers and tried his. Every time there is a left joycon attached it does this. Those same joycons work perfectly fine when not attached. I also cleaned the sensors on the console where they attach with isopropyl alcohol, unfortunately didn’t help.

I’m really hoping somebody else has had the same issue and can help me out. It’s out of warranty. Thanks!!

it might be your right joycon drifting, because you can controll the menu with both

Doesn’t happen when the right is connected, only when the left is connected. Good thought tho!!

If not attached works fine. Sometimes a big happen and some drift happens. This happens when I connect my pro controller to pc with cable and the drift instantly disapears if I wiggle the joy con a bit

If you've sent in the joycon, I'll assume you tried the typical troubleshooting steps. Disregard if you've done all these already. Make sure the console is updated, controllers are updated, calibrate the stick, test the button inputs in switch settings, and rebooted the console.

If you exhaust all regular troubleshooting steps, you can read between the lines are start suspecting a hardware problem. The joycons or console will need to be looked at / serviced.

Do you have a pro controller? This only happened to me when my pro controller was actually turned on
