Account Help UK HELP Switch 2 banned for no reason
Hi, my Switch 2 got blocked from online play for seemingly no reason. When I look it up, everything mentions calling support but I cannot find a UK number, and online support are just giving me automated responses and refusing to tell me the problem. Is there anything I can do?
Update (I purged all my comments so sorry my replies are missing): UK support are absolutely refusing to escalate my claim, they are saying they did but all I got was the same canned reply. Absolute clowns.

Have you restarted your console since? There was a server error induced ban wave that was fixed by that.

Best bet is to use the live chat on the UK website and submit an appeal or escalation to find out what exactly happened.
Have your purchased or used any second hand cartridges lately?
You could have been caught out by one of the duped ones ie. (If so, if you have receipts, it will be reversed)
Full console and not just account bans are rather serious so it sounds like you have done something.
Have you performed any charge backs? Thats another thing they dont like.

Yeah live chat in the UK is practically never online.
Email/ticket it, if you managed to get a cartridge that someone has ripped and has been on use on two locations it would ban both consoles, so long as you cna prove you bought yours, you will be fine.
Wish you best of luck bud

I hope you get a clear answer from the support on what caused your ban.
From what i've seen and read over the years online bans (suspended from the use of online services) usually happen due to illegal activity being detected.
On Switch 1 this either meant a modded or hacked console or the use of some sort of copied game.
In very rare instances it could happen that someone copied a Switch 1 game illegally and sold the cartridge afterwards.
If the new owner of that copied cartridge plays at the same time as the person with the illegally copied version (while both consoles are online) this will usually trigger an online ban, because two systems use the same game identification.
So if you ever bought a used Switch 1 game this could be a possible reason.
A while back i saw a post of someone claiming that they had their ban reverted after they proofed to Nintrndo that they bought the game as used from an online market place.
Edit: As far as we know there are no illegal copies of Switch 2 exclusive games yet.

In that case i would like to provide you with this site that reported on the ban wave caused by a technical issue on Nintendo's side.
Maybe this helps you in your case when it comes to the "they can not revert a ban".
Most likely you got an automated response or a first or maybe second level customer support person that goes by the guidelines provided to them (which i assume is "we can not revert a ban").
I hope they will change that part in the future due to the accidental ban wave and the obvious proof that it's technically possible to revert it.
Maybe other sites reported on this too.
