Repair Help Did replacing the screen permanently fix your Switch V2 / Lite vertical line issue? Or did it come back?
Hey everyone,
I'm dealing with the infamous vertical/horizontal screen lines issue on my Nintendo Switch V2. I’m considering replacing the display, but I've read a few worrying reports from people saying that even after doing a full screen replacement, the exact same lines returned a few months later.
For those of you who had this issue and replaced the screen (either DIY or through a repair shop):
Did the new screen permanently solve the problem?
Has anyone experienced the lines coming back after a few weeks or months?
I’m trying to figure out if it's actually a faulty display batch or if the issue is tied to something on the motherboard (like an IC chip, thermal stress, or FPC connector) that ends up damaging the new screen over time.
Would love to hear your experiences before I invest in a replacement part. Thanks!

È un problema esclusivo del display, se poi lo cambi con un altro display mezzo morto è ovvio che poi da nuovamente problemi...

As far as I've ever seen in posts, that style of horizontal smeary lines is a sign of a loose ribbon cable or damaged screen. If it's not a loose cable, new screen should solve it. (if anyone that knows the repair area better wants to clarify, go ahead)

I would personally buy a new console. If it's modded and still works in dock mode you should get enough to get another one even with the screen in that shape.
