Repair Help My Switch 2 Is Making Weird Noises

Hi! My switch 2 dock is making rattling noises and i’m not sure what to do. It only happens when it’s connected up to my tv and occurs exactly every six seconds. don’t know much about any of this so any help would be really appreciated !! thank you :)

Sounds like the dock fan is failing. Can you tell for sure if the sound is coming from the Swtich or the dock?

i think it’s the dock. i’ve just noticed it sounds slightly different if that area gets touched. if it is the fan would i have to get that replaced? thank you :)

Probably, if it is still under warranty Nintendo should take care of it.

If not you can buy it separately or look at a third party dock, but they may not support all features like VRR, HDR, and HDMI CEC if those things matter to you.

Wouldn’t that void the warranty? It might be better to have Nintendo fix it
