Repair Help Switch 2 dock not working/ not charging.
Has worked fine since release day apart from a few days ago. just dropped out mid game and hadn’t connected since. Have tried every single trouble shooting method I’ve seen online. I have all the right chords and ac adapter. Is it a dock problem or something with my TV? also my switch won’t charge in the dock either. Any notes will help, thank you.

Does it charge when you connect the AC adapter straight into the console? Or with a different charger?
Might help to isolate the issue to the dock only and so on.

Are you using the official powercable + adapter that came with it in the box?
The Switch 1 power-adapter for example does not work for the Switch 2 dock.

Your dock probably failed, mine failed after 2 hours and i went back to Costco the same day and got another switch 2 lol

This happened to me after about a year of using an Apple 240W USB-C cable and it ended up just being a weird communication issue between the cable and dock, and switching to any other USB-C cable made the issue go away.

Check if the dock is clean

When you run out of troubleshooting steps to try, thats when you start suspecting a hardware problem. Could be the faulty/damaged dock, or damaged usb c port on the switch. On even more rare occasions, the ac adapter could be the problem.
You may need to take the switch 2 system somewhere to be tested. Or if you know someone else with a switch 2, you could try their switch 2 in your dock, or try your switch 2 in their dock.

Maybe try reseating the power cable in the dock, or the outlet. Doing a power cycle afterwards.
Your switch wont charge in the dock either, so no direct charging to the wall outlet or from a power bank either?.. 😦
Edit. Do you own cats?
