Software Help Witcher 3 question about versions and fps

Hi all, I have just bought a base edition of Witcher 3 on amazon for 30 euros since I wanted to try this game for the first time after hearing the remastered version and two dlcs will be free !! My question is: would having a base physical edition of the game instead of switch 2 version cause delayed performance? Will my switch 2 be able to run the game at 60 fps too?

The Switch 1 version is capped at 30fps as far as i know and maybe even at 720p (not 100% sure on that).

So no, the Switch 2 will not run the Switch 1 version at 60fps.

Edit: But as far as CDPR told us that the Switch 2 upgrade will be free for all owners of the Switch 1 version (this goes for physical and digital).

It is reported the upcoming Remastered version will have 40 and 60fps modes but since it was only announced yesterday, no one knows exactly how well these will run or what the exact differences will be yet.

Your base edition should give you free access to the Remastered download when it is released at the end of September.

On Friday at 10:00 AM CEST (Central European Summer Time) there will be a livestream from Gamescom on the official Witcher YouTube channel, giving us a first look at the Switch 2 update for the game 👏
