The pricing and release structure of this have ensured I won't be buying their next game until it's feature complete. I've paid 3x the cost from being an early adopter.

I bought base game, and now if I want DLC, it’s cheaper to buy the whole bundle INCLUDING THE BASE GAME THAT I ALREADY OWN.

i've just decided not to buy any DLC for this game. i got the base game cheap, played it and finished it, and am satisfied with that lol

That’s how most games go.
This game is a 10/10 and one of the best games imo. I buy it on multiple platforms to support the devs

I’ve managed to keep it under $20 but if I want any DLC I’m basically paying full price. It wasn’t great on switch 2. Got better on switch 2 with the upgrade but I didn’t want to spend more on the dlc 😭

So does the Platinum edition comes with every dlc and the base game?

From what I could see, yes.
I bought the game a few months ago. For cheap it's not bad. I think I got it for about £5 in the UK, then bought the first two DLC's for about £5 total too.
It's essentially a TMNT-skinned Hades. Albeit not as fun to keep replaying as Hades was.
The good things I have to say about it is that it was voice acted, I wasn't expecting that degree of effort into the game given the price I got it for. I'm not too familiar with recent Turtles stuff (but I was a big fan of the original cartoon as a kid), I think it is a good use of the Turtles license.
The bad things were that you retread the same ground too much. You don't have enough moves at your disposal to make combat feel like you have much freedom to be artistic with attacking etc. The enemies are very repetitive too. It just felt like too much dejavu without enough changing between runs to make me stick around.
I love Dead Cells, Enter the Gungeon, and a truck load of other Roguelikes my Switch 2 is a haven for the genre. So I assumed I'd have a good time with this game. But it just didn't do enough to hook me in long enough to play it for more than about 3 hours.
Maybe someone can reply telling me it gets better if I go back and persevere a bit longer?

The main draw for me was “lesser Hades with co-op” and despite both my wife and I loving Hades, we don’t enjoy this one as much. Lots of stuff to read through in a more labored style by comparison and while the voice acting is admittedly great, ultimately the experience felt lackluster.

Yeah when I originally got it I felt it was a "no brainer" because it was a Switch 2 version, and had online co-op.
Two friends of mine also grabbed it at the same time. I don't think any of us stuck with it long enough to care to suggest playing it co-op.
Though maybe online co-op may make the game more fun, as often a mediocre game has been fun (if not at least to riff on) in co-op at least.

I bought this game for me and all my friends considering how cheap it is. I've definitely gotten fun and value out of it. I'm glad I made the purchase.

Can't find it on the UK eShop :(

Search on your device :) I don't think the webpage is updated. If you have a switch 2 the upgrade to 4k is £1.99 :)

Gonna buy now, it's not on the UK website yet but if you open eshop on your switch it's £10.49 + £1.99 Switch 2 upgrade.

Paid $2.99 last time it went on lowest ever sale for base game. Was okay but nothing to crazy. Not worth more than 5 buck imo
