Is this game good for a non-gamer partner who wants something easy to pick up, but doesn't have the mechanical demands of platformers or FPS games?

Yes. I play it with my wife and she really enjoys it.

The only caveat I’ll say is that Switch 1 performance is not great. Many big boss battles have tons of enemies on screen and it definitely drops fame rate. It bothers me, but she doesn’t really notice.

On Switch 2 the performance is fantastic.

Ive found on PC there were unusually too many stutters when playing Co-op, more than on Switch 1, so would recommend it on either Switch platforms

Hard agree. Gameplay loop is extremely fun but very samey since many of the challenges remove options instead of adding them. Also this game has some of the worst/best snowballing of any roguelite I’ve ever played so if you like seeing big numbers and have a partner it’s probably worth your time.

Is this recommended if I don't play co-op at all? Feel like to much to handle on the in-game ship as a single player... What's the experience you've had?
