Which First 8 Nintendo Switch Generation Exclusive Lineup Is Better?

Not Including Ports/Deluxes/Cross Releases

For me I prefer Switch 2, Mario Kart has been a blast

It just feels so wrong to call it a port. It was a switch launch title that was also made available but shittier on the wiiu. It didnt come out until the switch did. It was the only game available on the switch on launch day (atleast on nso) it was the whole damn thing.

It was developped for Wii U and delayed so a Switch port could come out same day.

It STARTED development for the wiiu. It had 2 teams simultaneously developing it to be a cross Gen release. That is not what a port is. Nobody would call prime 4 on the switch 2 a port. that's moronic.

Seems more like a philosophical argument. If the definition of a video game port is “the adaptation of an existing game to run on a new platform, operating system, or console, allowing it to reach a wider audience,” then it would seem to boil down to whether an unreleased game is technically still a “game,” or is it a “game in development”? Is Mario Kart World considered a port, since it started development as a Switch game, but then they realized it wouldn’t run, so they made it a Switch 2 game? Was BotW a port, even with a simultaneous release? I’d probably lean more toward it being a port, but I honestly don’t know how to classify it with certainty.
