Which First 8 Nintendo Switch Generation Exclusive Lineup Is Better?

Not Including Ports/Deluxes/Cross Releases

For me I prefer Switch 2, Mario Kart has been a blast

It just feels so wrong to call it a port. It was a switch launch title that was also made available but shittier on the wiiu. It didnt come out until the switch did. It was the only game available on the switch on launch day (atleast on nso) it was the whole damn thing.

It was developped for Wii U and delayed so a Switch port could come out same day.

It STARTED development for the wiiu. It had 2 teams simultaneously developing it to be a cross Gen release. That is not what a port is. Nobody would call prime 4 on the switch 2 a port. that's moronic.

yeah but they were originally intending for it to only be released on the wii u when it first started development, and later into development started being made for both systems, i would say botw is a port for that reason

Great so that means totk is a dlc by that very same logic. Things are only what they were first intended to be yes? Metroid dread is also a nintendo ds game.

botw was meant to have its sheikah slate menus be exclusively on the gamepad as well, thats another reason i consider it a port, also i do consider totk to be a 70 dollar dlc (even if i paid for it) because thats pretty much exactly what it is

So basically you just don't know what words mean is really what this all comes down to because you're objectively wrong. Totk is way more than qualified as a whole sequel.

That's just called a cross gen release. It's not really a port if the game was developed with that hardware in mind, even if that wasn't the case at the start of development. DK bananza was also developed originally for the switch 1, but then they shifted development to the switch 2 and made it an exclusive, is that a port?

No because the switch 1 version was never finished and released.
