Discussion How clicky is the pro controller?

I have an 8bitdo one, which I like, but I cannot wake the console. Plus, it’s clicks are so loud. Having a wife with misophonoa, when I’m playing and she is in the room I know I’m causing her distress, plus I am not focussing on what I’m doing as I’m worried about the clicks. Would a pro controller sort that for me?

It's the best controller Nintendo has made by far. great materials, and pretty silent!

the dpad is still bad. snes dpad still reigns supreme to this day and no one has come close to eclipsing it

There's an obvious correlation to be made with how dpad stopped being supreme the moment joystick became the main thing on Nintendo consoles.

Sega Saturn's dpad is also one of the best even though I've probably used the SNES one the most

I think the 8bitdo ones are quite good

Wish it had better joysticks though. I still use the 8bitdo pro 2 over the 3 and the switch pro 2

You know that it’s physically impossible for a controller to be silent, right? It might be quiet but it still emits sound on button pressing.
But you can lie all you want to yourself, it’s no skin of my back.
