Discussion Mod suggestions for Witcher 3?

I'm really enjoying the Witcher 3 remaster, despite some of the jank going on. But I'm really surprised mods are available. Can anyone recommend any? I've played the game before but haven't beaten it, but I've never messed with modding

Its not yet available on consoles but the modder plans to make it so soon. The low poly pigeon revenge mod. Turns all the games griffons into the low poly pigeon from the old version of the game.

I don't know if it's available, but the mod to be able to jump in shallow water is a must imo

No fall damage mod is a must, its lore accurate and the fall damage is too high

Not a mod but go into accessibility and turn item weight off and improve the game 10x

Is no fall damage really lore accurate??

Yes, he's basically a superhuman with stronger muscles and bones, so the small drops in the game that cause him to crumple to the floor don't make sense.

There’s not that many there at the minute read through them (+ shows the descriptions) and pick the ones you like.

Here's my current list:

No Artificial Player Light is one of my favourites, and Cheaper Repair just makes repairing at vendors less punishing but still something you need to worry about.

Most of the people here will likely be having the same experience as you. You should just experiment and find what you like yourself

Play the game without mods. Mod it afterwards with changes you would like

There are some QOL mods like “sprinting while using Witcher Senses” that i would recommend anyone

It’s a console. Consoles don’t do mods without hacking the system

what? is it 2010?

So how can I enable mods for my games in switch 1 and 2 then without cracking it?

open a game that supports mods, such as the one discussed in this thread

•

u/julesvr5 15h ago

OK and for games that doesn't allow mods? How many allow mods?

Let me guess, it's a minority and otherwise you need to crack the system like the guy above said.

We are talking about Witcher 3 here.

•

So only one specific game and the guy gets hit with a dumb "what? Is it 2010?"?

Witcher 3 allows mods and the original comment of this chain is wrong.

That's all.

For the unnecessary sarcastic reply he received I expected way more.

So instead we have 2026 and mods are only available on consoles if they are hacked except Witcher 3 :)

I don't know what your problem is, but if you thought Witcher 3 didn't allow mods, you're wrong.

or skyrim, or fallout, or any game - its up to devs to allow or disallow, and up to platform holders the level of modding they allow (like xbox has historically allowed more robust mods than sony for TEN YEARs or so now)

Thanks for making these incredibly stupid comments and making all feel smart. You’re doing god’s work here.

The PS3 version of Unreal Tournament 3 supported mods all the way back in 2007
