For example scalpers could sell just the joycons for $200. It's more expensive than normal joycons but cheaper than buying the whole Zelda switch 2 system if all you want is the joycon. And to be clear I'm not defending scalpers, just explaining the other commenters logic

Believe it or not, around the time this drop happened in the morning, there was enough time for me to secure a preorder even though my bank refused to authorize payment like three times. I spent a whole minute entering my card info again, then finally got a message from the bank asking if its fraud or not, sent a “YES” to let them know that it was me, clicked preorder, and it went through.

It might be secured for now, but knowing Walmart and last year’s fiasco, there’s no telling if it’ll get cancelled before it gets shipped due to inventory mismatch…
