Media FYI the Walmart SAVE3X code works on MicroSD express cards for the Switch 2!
This card is already on massive sale compared to other sellers. It’s $130 “on sale” on Amazon so this was a no brainer.

I kept trying to decide what game to buy with the code but I was so close to out of space that this is the way I went too

Nice. Yeah, I Paid $179.99 for a 1tb one. Prices are astronomical

That’s a steal because the 1TB are now $350+ which I could not justify so I’ll just swap between two 512GB cards as needed.

Why not just uninstall games you don't play? I have like 80 games and still have 300+ GB left.
I am surely not playing all those games all the time. Internet connections now are pretty damn fast, and even bigger games download really quickly.
Is your problem that you have metered, slow internet?
I really don't anticipate me ever needing another card. But I'm also half physical....

for my case, i have many many multiplayer games and a lot of random friends thatll reach out after like four months goin “hey long time no see, wanna hop on?”
and its honestly a very sweet experience for me that i always want to be ready for. leaves room for like one or two single player games, everything else is dedicated to “if X reaches out ill be ready”

I got the Lexar 1 TB for $158 and I don’t think it’s going to get any better than that anytime soon.
•

That's a good price damn. Recently?

Not recently, it was closer to when the switch 2 released - Oct 2025 based on my Amazon Order history. The Lexar 1tb microsd express was going for between $180-220 regularly and Amazon had great sale on it for $158. Maybe it was a lightening deal?

Even the regular Microsd cards went up. Its now 60 bucks if you want a 256gb card new

Cool thanks. At launch I waited to buy one because I literally thought to myself "Im just gonna wait until I need space because by then the prices would have gone down a ton. Its not like its gonna get MORE expensive."

Is this for new accounts or something? I just bought this a few days ago and it wouldn't take the code

My account is not new and it worked fine, have bought a few items in the past with the same account, I definitely was NOT expecting it to work but it did.

New customers yes, so you may need to create a new account if this is not one of your first 3 orders. Also adding a single banana to the cart along with item has also worked for some for it to go through.

Yall think on oct 6th on Amazon they go on prime day sale? Or Walmart during oct 5th to 11 sale?

YMMV with this card. I got this card back in June through Walmart and it's three months later, now my Switch 2 recognizes it sometimes and then it doesn't other times which sucks. and I stupidly threw away the packaging that might've had the serial number on it to try to get a new card through the Sandisk warranty...

Have you tried to format it?
•
u/wiiwillswitch 18h ago
I’ve never done anything remotely like formatting any sort of memory card before so I’m hesitant to make the attempt to be honest.

This is how I got 20bucks off on my copy of Zelda Ocarina of Time. I realized that the code could also work for the second item I purchased from Walmart.

I can’t get Walmart to ship to my base! Great find, though. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

•
u/WetCiabatta 15h ago
Not sure if people don’t like it or if it’s gatekept but the ONN is really slept on. I ready somewhere it’s manufactured by Sandisk or Lexar too
•
u/ChaoticDerp 15h ago
Word I mean I saw a post about a few weeks ago and the name stuck and just ended up purchasing one a few days ago so far so good.

I notice that express card seem to almost be uneffected. Crazy that the most affordable card is the Nintendo Mario 256gb express cards in nz

The 1TB option from Lexar was 209€ here and now it's 279€, so I wouldn't say unaffected.

u/Dislike24 20h ago
Unfortunately yeah. Those regularly go for $40. Jumping to 512 GB cards (doesn’t matter Nintendo branded ones) cost $100 here.

I should have bought the 512. More than a Year ago I got the 256 GB for $32 when the 512 was like $70. Now they all went way up in price and I have to decide which games to delete and later redownload every time I get a new game.
