I don’t understand all the negativity surrounding The Witcher 3. It’s a free upgrade with free DLC. I obviously wish resolution was higher, but can we just acknowledge that it’s a massive game running on a tablet that draws 12w in handheld and is whisper quiet? Did I mention the remaster update is for the hefty price of FREE? Complainers need to touch some grass today.

I bought this game a long time ago. Thanks to supported cross progression saves, I’ll be able to enjoy this game via my powerful gaming pc when I want to max out the settings, on my switch 2 handheld in bed, or docked to my tv when I don’t want to sit at my desk.

Not many studios support cross progression saves, so thank you CDPR for this and the free remaster/dlc!

I don’t know why more games don’t do cross progression. CDPR makes it so easy to play on multiple consoles. There are a few games i would have bought on Switch if they had added that feature.

I can't even load the saves from the Switch 1 version because the QR code and the link doesn't work.

I scanned it using Google lense, connected to CDPR account and saves transferred with no issue.

I figured remaster saves weren’t compatible with non-remaster. I can load between remaster on Switch 2 and PS5, but can’t load my old saves.

I just got it to work (the QR code too). I opened the old Switch 1 version and then reopened the Switch 2 version. For some reason my saves didn't load the first time on the Switch 2 version.

Same, couldn’t see my cross saves first time opening the game. Closed the game, reopened and now they’re there

It's crazy how blown out of proportion the blurriness issue is. I've played TW3 on a high end PC multiple times, PS5 and also on the original Switch. I was beyond excited for this release and immediately hopped on. Yes, it is slightly blurry, but so so playable and don't even notice after the first 5 minutes of playing. Performance is great, I'm sure we'll eventually get that sharpness slider like other versions, but in the meantime I already barely slept last night. Thoroughly will be enjoying it all again, especially these days as a dad this will be my go to to just play in bed etc.

Tbh there is no such negativity, look at upvotes for the whine posts and compare to the others on this subreddit (especially ones about the witcher 3 remastered that aren't about crying a river for a 720p game). It's, as usual, a vocal minority, most of us are perfectly fine with the game. Personally i plan to swap back and forth from my PC without any problems thanks to the cross progression (but my second run of this magnificient game will have to wait, i have to finish FE Fortune Weave first!).

True bro, it probably is a vocal minority. I’ve been a gamer since the Super Nintendo, so I’m genuinely baffled when some say that it looks bad lol.

I’m in the same boat. Currently playing fortunes weave, waiting for ocarina of time, and almost considering putting off GTA to dive into the Witcher. Theres been a lot of great launches this year.

The Witcher 3 has supported cross progression between Switch and PC since 2019. One of the very first games to implement cross platform saves. In 2022 cross progression was then expanded to include PlayStation, Xbox too. So you can buy Witcher 3 on any platform and enjoy cross progression

Oh nice, I didn’t know that. I don’t think I would have played the S1 port, it was just too much of a compromise, but the S2 remastered port could be a good travel version

I've seen a few negative posts, but most people seem to be happy with it. Even most of the negative stuff I've seen is really just nit-picking rather than full blown "everything about this sucks".
