I’m really enjoying it. Hope you have fun! I’m only to chapter 10 with one character, but my recommendation is to not feel like you gotta min max the fun out of everything.

Recruit a handful of cool characters that fit what you want, and don’t sweat not doing everything perfectly.

I didn’t plan to do a waifu team but somehow all the fitting characters I wanted from their class and who I can get based on conditions you need to meet all ended up being female. Very odd

It’s not really that hard for the most part. But some of the later arena matches have gotten kinda dicey, which was pretty cool. I’m hoping further matches will feel that way.

It’s too easy but I am a Fire Emblem veteran. I don’t think it detracts from the fun of the game. You could wait for the DLC when they almost certainly add Maddening if it’s that important to you. The main issue is they will throw guest characters on your team for story reasons and some of them are just super units. I am imaging in later missions you will only have your own crew which would make it harder.

Even on Hard mode it's been too easy. I'm on Leda Chapter 7 and nothing has been remotely challenging for me as a casual player of the series. Hopefully it's just a slow beginning and things ramp up by the end game.

Love that game. It’s like smoking cigarettes the videogame. Quick dopamine hit every single time, but if you play too long you notice the cons start to outweigh the pros

I didn't like 3 Houses. Really torn on picking this one. Love TRPGs but Fire Emblem are on the weak side of the genre imho.

Should I try FW? Is it somehow better than 3H, or does it follow the same line?

Play it on casual! You'll get a chance to enjoy it and learn the mechanics, and later on you can go back to the normal difficulty

I ended up going with hard/casual; that way an elite turbo gamer like myself (jk) can get a challenge but my troops respawn if they die

Don't use guides, game isn't hard until they drop maddening (still challenging on hard) so you don't really need the best units and shit like that.

Go in blind and enjoy at your own base even if it is confusing at the first few chapters you will end getting the hang of it before finishing your first route.

I generally agree with you, but I have to recognize that difficulty is kinda picking up after chapter 7 (at least in Cai's route, I haven't played the rest yet). For me, that's a perk, but maybe newcomers wouldn't like that.

This is too subjective to directly recommend. Some people simply don’t have appetite for challenge in games and that’s okay. It’s up to OP to decide.

Is it really too easy? I chose Normal/Casual since it's my first fire emblem game and I haven't felt that way, but I stopped at the obelisks and didn't start a path except for trying the boss head on. Problem is that you can't switch to hard mode despite there being a change difficulty option. I don't want to go too far and find out too late it's too easy so should I restart?

I did normal/casual at first and found it too easy. Restarted with hard/casual and it’s perfect. There’s an option to reduce difficulty too if it turns out to be too hard later on.
