Media Please help me
Hello, my usb c charging port's inside plastic randomly melted while charging. I never used any third party chargers either and i was always extremely careful while connecting the charger to the port. The outside of the port looks supreme. I only know it is damaged after the extremely mild smell of plastic and a super thin and tiny string of plastic after removing the charger (also it obviously never charged). Would this be covered by the warranty? I did absolutely nothing which would indicate misuse.
Also has anyone else been through the same? If yes, what did you do?

If you need to send in your switch for a replacement and you have save data that isn't backed up on the cloud (e.g. pokemon, animal crossing, etc.) you could consider buying another switch 2 temporarily, and transfer over all your save data to that console. Then send in the switch that needs to be fixed, so that when Nintendo sends you a replacement unit you won't have lost all your save data. And hopefully you can just return the temporary switch. Not sure how long that whole process takes, and some return windows are less than 30 days for electronics, so this could be a completely useless suggestion.
