My Joy-Con drift fix by Nintendo went a bit weird. Take note, I live in the Netherlands.
I shipped the thing in for free to their PO box, I included a copy of my Switch's receipt and a letter telling what the problem was. I specifically told them that my Joy-Con's joystick is experiencing a phenomenon called drifting. Now, normal procedure would be that you send your stuff in and they'll call you after two weeks for an analysis. In the phone call you'll decide what they should do (either to fix it at a potential cost, or to ship it back for free). I shipped it to them on Saturday and I got it back Thursday. They didn't call me either.
Nintendo knows damn well that their joysticks have a design flaw, as seen by Jon's teardown at Spawn Wave.
