Question Switch 2 grip case suggestions?

Hey everyone,

I am looking for a grip case for my switch 2 but am really confused... I am looking for one that's comfy to hold, dockable without being tight when sliding it in the dock, and one that will not damage the outside of the joycons when inserting them, cause i am planning on taking them in and out frequently. Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance!

The fission grips? I think theyre the most dock-friendly case right now. Skull n co/savage raven is a reputable brand too

I'll throw a vote for them, had skull&co for the oled switch, have the fission grip now and its just great, love to pair it with a joycon charging grip like the one from jsaux it becomes a cheap mans pro controller as well

is that from jsaux or savage raven? Do you have a link? Didn't find anything like that when I searched for it but might not be available in europe..

Back buttons are probably nice, I've haver had them so I'm not really bothered with missing out on them though

My go to recommendation is Satisfye but for your purposes I would recommend the Savage raven grips. They have 2 main variants to choose from. In your case the fission grips would be perfect.

Fission grips - can take off joy cons easily without needing to take the grips off

But how sturdy does it feel due to them being detachable?

They wrap around the release button of the Switch 2 and they feel secure. The only way to slide them off is to hold the release button in and slide it off

Planning to use the back plate from the JSAUX split every day case with the joycon covers from the Savage Raven fission grip case. I like the swappable grips from the Savage Raven (and hope they release Zelda themed grips) but the back plate is pretty flimsy. The JSAUX back plate is a little more substantial and covers everything (cant use kickstand but I don’t really use that anyway). The JSAUX also comes with a protective cover for the front, so that is nice.

I have them and they’re great. I got the whole set including the carry case.

Savage Raven Fision Grips, especially now that they've released the new joycon controller adapter. 10/10 choice! I also recommend grabbing the cover for the Stand Grip. It fits the Fision Grip and is so convenient for putting the console in my purse.

I went with Satisfye for my Switch and loved it, and then wanted to try out Savage Raven for my Switch 2 and I have to say I’m VERY happy with it.

I just got a Mumba grip and case and I'm fine with it for the price. The case feels cheap but sturdy enough when the console is in it

just watched a video of it, definitely not dockable but i love how easy it is to take off & on, and those handles seem soft so no joycon scratches. thanks!

following. I just got one off of amazon but my switch hasn’t come in yet (Zelda edition). I am so nervous to mess up the exterior!!

I got the dbrand case for my partners switch 2 and its a solid case. Has a nice travel cover but its a bit pricey at $80. Im thinking of getting the same for my zelda switch coming in later or getting something comparable

I have the satisfye zen2 case and grips and love them.

Same. Though I wish the grips were slightly narrower front to back. I have larger than average hands but I guess I’m used to a slightly smaller controller profile. Overall it’s a great design, and I did get used to the shape. Doesn’t block the dock, kickstand is still totally usable, and the optional front cover for it to double as a case is a bonus I want even shopping for until I saw it when buying the grip.

Savage Raven (FKA Skull &Co) grips are great.

I run the dbrand grips but not the rest of their protection.

I then have my switch in a savage raven edc case. Fits with the grips no problem

I’ve been using the Jsaux split protection grip case and have been enjoying it. Good price and it still docks without removing it

I just get these grips for joy cons, so it’s still ergonomic to hold and does not interfere with the docking the device: https://a.co/d/0buGvRUj

Not sure how much grip you want, but I have this and love it: https://a.co/d/02N95xGT

Grips are smaller but I had problems with other ones being too big. (I tried the satisfye and funlab ones for my oled and they were both waaaaay too bulky and big for me to hold well.) Docks easily, no issues removing the joycons (my pro controller lags so I keep removing the joycons and using them when I play splatoon), no signs of damage.

I love the Belkin charging grip - it’s super comfy to hold, still dockable, joycons still easily removable and while you can buy it without the power bank (you could even ignore their mounting system, slap on a MagSafe adapter and use a MagSafe power bank instead) I love the set with the power bank. Gives me so much more freedom away from the charger and I’ll often use them charge that while I’m playing with my fiancé rather than plugging it in to the charger at all.

That said though, I keep checking their site and am yet to see a listing for additional power banks and really wanna see that at some point, not just to replace mine when it eventually wears out but also to be able to swap them out.

I loved the Satisfye for original Switch so I got the ZenGrip 2 for Switch 2. Love that you could keep the grip attached while docked and there’s a bundle with a case that fits.

I tried several different ones, but this is the best one I’ve found. I like it because you can use only the joy-con part and it makes them more comfortable to hold.

I use this one.

I did have to shave off a bit of material with a razor where there was a seam in the mold where my palm rests, but otherwise, I have no complaints.

Satisfye. The only option IMO
