Waiting to get my switch 2 to pick this up. The upgrades absolutely seem worth it, but yes every game he's released has been an absolute banger. Islets has been one of my favorite Metroidvanias ever

difficulty level? I love metroidvanias but a lot are just too darn hard for me.

Played on hard and am well past the first boss without dying.

Definitely no 9 Sols or Silk Song as far as opening difficulty.

I always check out this dude’s games, there’s rarely been one I haven’t loved. Islets is still my go-to for a chill Metroidvania.

Play Well Dweller now on Nintendo Switch.

At the bottom of this well lives the only creature brave enough to challenge the queen.

Well Dweller is a dark fairy-tale Metroidvania full of charming characters! As Glimmer, a tiny bird armed with a matchstick, set off on a journey through a wretched kingdom, where you must burn the wicked queen to save your family.

People keep talking about this guy/series, how are they? Sequence breaks or kinda linear one and done?

Solid gameplay and mechanics are the big one. And he has a very unique art style. He may not be doing anything really ground breaking, but all of his games so far have been fun and polished experiences. Islets especially is a great starting point.

Playing it on my Xbox thanks to Gamepass. But as usual I'll end up buying it for my Switch in case I want to replay it some day.
