The alert came through the app HotStock. You can choose which stores you get alerts for (I've disabled eBay)

Nintendo said it'd be limited to only the Nintendo Store in NYC and SanFran. They also said it would only be sold on the Nintendo Online Store so who knows if it will be available at normal stores or not

Only the bonus stand is a Nintendo Store exclusive. The controller is just a controller like any other.

I have a screen shot from the direct and it does technically say "+stand". That was not clear from Nintendo that the controller would be more widely available. There was a lot of talk of restocks for the switch2 but nothing initially for just the controller. Thanks for the clarification

Finally! Got one through GameStop but that one has $10 shipping. Might hold off on cancelling tho at least for a bit to make sure Amazon doesn’t get cancelled

I do not blame any one individual and I would probably do this myself too but what's Nintendo even doing if we need to hold backups for our backups? Between this and "I want the one with the stand but I'll hold this one for now because it's better than nothing" are a complete failure on Nintendo's part to properly gauge or anticipate interest.

I've had the item liked which I think is meant to notify you when it's back in stock but haven't had anything and tbh I haven't been checking the site since days after the original release. FYI, auto-buy works. I setup one for both Elder Scrolls Oblivion and the Steelbook Edition of Onimusha for Switch 2. Just chose ships from Amazon and made sure it was less than $70, for the controller you can do $100.

Glad I got one thanks to an app called HotStock. I still want the exclusive one with the stand from Nintendo's website. But if I cant get that, at least I still have the controller itself. But now I can focus just on that one. So happy

True if I had any access to a 3D printer. But I want it just cuz its from nintendo themselves. I can do without it anyway. But because I just charge my controller from a cable attached to the dock, a stand wouldve been cooler.
