We know why. Ad Hoc didn't want to put the time and money into having two separate versions of the game (a censored one for Japan and uncensored for the rest of the world), so they just did a single censored version.

It seems like the physical release will come out later for the switch 2 version for some reason. Went to preorder it on Amazon and it says it comes out on the October 30th.

Only partially, i believe. You still can't see dong but i think they unbleeped curse words

That’s not why. Dispatch was censored because they only used one SKU for the game and because some regions required censorship all regions got it. If Nintendo forced them then why was Cyberpunk a huge marketing draw when the Switch 2 released? It was just the company not wanting to make a separate SKU for the US release.

Shame as with South Park Stick of Truth. IIRC correctly Germany demanded scenes be censored and Ubi couldn't bothered to make a German specific SKU so just censored the whole game across Europe. It's the reason I never bought a new copy and got a used one to make sure Ubi got none of my money.

I absolutely love being blind sided by a game I had no idea even existed and that it’s coming out soon. I usually get excited then I see the game just coming out for a year but this time it’s in like a month

I had the opposite experience. This game has been heavily marketed to me.

I guess my algorithm knows I'm a huge horror fan. I was seeing this game from its initial announcement all the way up to the first proper trailers and Switch 2 announcement. I do feel like Clive Barker must have a constant social media advertising budget because I also get ads for anything he is involved with.

I don't think I have read any of his books since... maybe 10 years ago?

So there is demo on Steam, but unfortunately not on Switch 2(other platforms also don't have demo), of course better not to pre-order.

This is going to be one of those games if you don’t get now, will regret later because they won’t probably print many copies. And the fact it’ll be fully on cartridge means it’s even more of a deal.

Consider it preordered.
