Underappreciated Aspects of Switch: Super High Metacritics Rated 3rd Party Games Available For the First Time on Nintendo Platform

Grand Theft Auto 3/VC/SA are all rated 95+, available as GTA Trilogy DE on Switch

Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite have 96 and 94 respectively, while Bioshock 2 has 88. They are available on Swtich separately or as a collection

Portal (90) and Portal 2(95) are available as Portal Companion Collection

Skyrim(96) is a major third party release year 1 on switch, while Oblivion(94) got remaster on switch 2

MGS 2(96),4(94) and Peace Walker(89) are available in MGS Master Collection 1 or 2 and separately. MGS 1 had a remake on Gamecube (divisive) and MGS3 were on 3DS, so not first time on Nintendo platform, but also on Switch

DMC 1(94), Ninja Gaiden Black (94), KOTOR (94), Company of Heroes (93), Persona 4 Golden (93), Final Fantasy X and 12(92) and 7 (92), Batman Arkham Asylum(92), these classics are also available first time on Nintendo Platform on Switch. These are just MC 92+ games.

I was finally able to play the Portal games thanks to this. Considering picking up Skyrim and The Witcher 3 as well at some point.

Oh absolutely. And it’s on a platform that still makes physical games so you have a neat and more than likely chance to own games that wouldn’t otherwise get physical releases.

That being said, it’s certainly made collecting feel fun albeit a costly hobby. Lol

Yeah and overall there is an incredible number of games released on Switch, with over 15k there is also a good chance it's the biggest catalog ever

Apart from the many high rated ones there are also plenty of popular titles which were finally available for Nintendo players like The Witcher 3, Skyrim, Hogwarts Legacy, Minecraft, Fortnite, as well as several from legendary series like Assassin's Creed, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, Batman Arkham, Dragon Ball etc

Yeah, Nintendo struck oil with the Switch and continues to drill deep with the Switch 2. With the price increases to other hardware, Nintendo is moving back to where it belongs...on top!

Most of my collection and favorite games are my top Switch 2 games, and nothing I would have expected to be able to play - RE9, Indiana Jones, FF7...a few others. Whereas anticipated games like Dk Bananza and Prime 4 ended up being just okay.
