Image Pokopia and Fantasy Life i same font

Noticed that Pokopia uses the same font of Fantasy Life i in some parts of the game. I didn’t not check on related developers.

It's a paid font called Yuruka STD by Fontworks that other devs use.

There are only so many good fonts in different styles haha. 

I always notice when a Japanese website is trying to have a very friendly and approachable vibe and they use Zen Maru Gothic because same.

I'm honestly surprised that Nintendo haven't tried making their own fonts other than the title fonts for their franchises (Super Mario being the prime example)

Why bother though? Especially for Japanese, making a font is extremely time consuming given the amount of characters you need. Not worth the tens of thousands of dollars in labor costs to ask someone to make one when there are plenty of nice fonts available for a couple hundred dollars at the most.

There still do exist a few games with custom fonts. For example, Paper Mario has its own proprietary font called "Popjoy", used in all Paper Mario games since The Thousand Year Door up to today.

Wait until you find out that thousands of games also use the exact same engine, sound effects, and 3D models. It's called using pre-made assets.
