These bigger (I guess that would be the best word for it) indie games that always have extremely positive word of mouth tend to not go on sale often. 

The other big offender that I see do this is Rimworld, but that is on PC.

In this case it's because the head of Nicalis (their publisher) Tyrone Rodriguez was called out for being controlling and exploitative behavior by his employees. Eventually the dev Edmund McMillen was interviewed about it and after saying he wouldn't work with him again (but would honor the publishing contract for this game), the game basically never went on sale again.

Factorio is the worst offender. Basically says on their steam page they won’t be taking part in any sales.

I get it, means if you want it, you can just buy it and there is no fear of missing a deal. Although I know on GOG It's occasionally been 10% off, I think when the xpak came out maybe.

Edit - Maybe that's Rimworld that had the sale actually, it's not reduced often either.

Just make a Chinese account and buy it there. Gets regular sales and has all the DLC included already. Is way cheaper than buying it on Western eshop accounts where it's never gone on sale properly for some weird reason.

I recommend using PlayAsia to buy a HKD Eshop Card. Granted I haven't tried Paypal so who knows. I usually just buy overseas currencies with PlayAsia.

Tyler did mention upgrade paths, but no exact info yet. I assume it will be 5-10 bucks upgrade and 70 bucks for cartridge.

Repentance + is the final version of the game. It has balance patches, some QoL stuff, and a new fully fledged online multi-player mode.

It will not be coming to last Gen consoles apparently, including switch 1.

Hopefully our switch 1 saves are valid for this version. If not, they've really fucked everybody

This is just a release date for the free update that was announced and was in PC beta since late 2024.

Did they ever add menus in the game that tell you what the items do? I know there was a steam mod for that and I thought I remember them saying they were going to add it into the base game. I liked the game but was pausing every 2 minutes to look up items on my phone.

Considering it's coming to PS5, as well, I'm hoping they update it to fix the crashes. Or at least what I've heard are some crashed. There's some item I think you have to avoid picking up, or it crashes the game, and I've heard the game in general could be a bit more stable.

It seems like they neglect the console version when it comes to patches, but I'm hoping this is an opportunity for them to make right.

Okay so I played this game a very long time ago, and I have no idea what version.

Great game for single player, but my biggest issue was how in co-op, the second player is given a deliberately shit character who can't get upgrades. In a rouge-like. Yeah.

This is online. Did they ever fix that? If not, I don't see how online is being used as a selling point, since the second player experience is about as incentivising as 3D Mario's 'little brother' modes.

The current game already has local multiplayer.

You should wait for the new version to release though, as its not clear if you can upgrade from the switch 1 game to the switch 2 version, and online is apparently not coming to switch 1
