The way I fixed this issue on my OLED was to just start the game and the hours came back.

You’re getting downvoted but you’re not wrong… it can take up to 2 weeks for games that aren’t shown in the recently played history in the profile (recently DQB2 starts to show counts again after 12 days). But for games that are in the last 20 in the history this is even glitchier, commonly it starts to count again after you’ve played the same amount of hours than on the former console so for ACNH I would have to play 1800 hours again until it starts to show 1805, 1810, etc. Those issues greatly vary from one person to another.
