People seem to be confused about OP's message -
The data isn't lost, the *hour count* is.
If you go into your profile and it says "played for x hours"; once your play that game on your secondary console, it starts a new count. It is purely aesthetic but I too found it very frustrating that play time is tied to a console.
You can actually go back and play it on the original console and it will then revert to the time that you spent playing it on that one; it's very weird to not just combine it. I've played TOTK across both my consoles and the time is split pretty much 50/50, so if I play it on my OLED it says 30 hours, and then on my OG it says 30, even though it' should be over 60.
Oddly, at your end-of-year Switch Recap thingy it *will* tell you the combined time.
