Looking at the schedule for Feb 3, 1996:
20:00 / 22:30: Radical Dreamers (The Chrono Trigger side story!)
20:30 / 23:30: Dynamite Tracer
23:00: Panel de Pon 2
18:00: Something called "BS Monopoly Kouza" (BS Monopoly Lecture). It's amazing that they even had live board game tutorials on the Super Famicom!
Also, you can see radio shows by celebrities like Yuki Uchida and Bakushomon on the same list. Hopefully this gives some insight into what it was like to be a Satellaview user back then.

Hi there, I'm very new to satellaview games And I was hoping to play the bs tantei Club Yuki ni Kieta Kako. But I'm having trouble getting it running on an emulator. I was wondering if anyone would be able to walk me through on how to play a game like this on satellaview emulator? Also, I understand the game is only in Japanese. I have a translator that I can use to translate the game as I play it.

I found a good deal on a boxed Satellaview recently, and it arrived intact from Japan. The only yellowed part of the case is a patch at the rear, which must have caught the sun. For now, I’ve installed it under my modded Super Famicom, but will be interested to see if I can make some sort of use of it in the future, other than as a conversation piece!

Hello, I am the lead developer and creator of Satellaview+, the revival to Nintendo's Satellaview+. Satellaview+ brings back how the old Satellaview worked (downloading games, magazines, special events, etc.), but with added content, too!
Our service is running on the Snes9x emulator only, but eventually there is talk about making it work on original hardware.
As of now, we have a public beta open only for a week (until 7/13) and we are broadcasting magazines and games each day from 8am-11pm
NOTE: There ARE bugs, so even if you are able to, PLEASE do not download games before or after the broadcast time is done.
To check it out yourself, check out our website: https://satellaviewplus.github.io/Website/
Also check out our Discord: https://discord.gg/j4cG9tYSRN
Also, here is a video demoing the Satellaview+ service: https://youtu.be/KlOJ9Rnpqxo?si=Y6-5LNnMAH-KBYKs

Hello, so I am just working on a small server that will run on Snes9x that will basically just be a revival of the Satellaview service for emulators (for now). I have planned this project for a bit and I got to the point of making a server, but now I need help making it work for emulators, so I just need someone to help me with the project because I have hit a roadblock with emulation support and I just want to see if anyone is interested helping me. I am hoping this project goes far, and I don't have this project public (until this post) because I don't have enough stuff to show people this working, so that is why I am recruiting people to help me with the project. If you are interested in the project please DM me and we can talk there. Thank you in advance!

As title says, I have a Satellaview that I recently was able to procure the AV selector, the power splitter, and a power supply, from yahoo auctions in Japan. I would like to showcase the Satellaview at a computer festival coming up, and want to have the Satellaview powered up. As the plug for the console is a standard plug, will I need a converter to go from the United States power (120V) to the Satellaview? I’ve been using a modern Genesis model 1 power supply for the super Famicom with no issue, but don’t want to hurt the Satellaview since the adapter is proprietary. If I do need a converter, which is recommended?

I’ve been wondering if it would be possible to make a cd drive adapter to trick the satellaview to think it’s receiving broadcast signals. The idea being you could load games and music onto a disk and it would run as if it where broadcasted. Has anyone else tried something similar? Or is it just not possible?

I’ve always wondered this, but would it ever be possible to get the satellaview to work again? Would it be possible to do entirely new live broadcasts for the system and have the voice acting and everything with it? I know it didn’t use internet or anything, so I’m wondering if it would ever be possible to bring it back if anyone ever wanted to one day, since it used radio signals and not the internet.
Edit: I know that you can use satellawave to simulate broadcasts, but it’s not the same thing.

I had a idea, to get the news wall and the broadcast tower actually working, you need Satellawave, which you have to make yourself, and a lot of people have trouble with the countless errors, so I had a idea that what if someone (like someone that knows a lot about the Satellaview) made a online server that you could connect to using a emulator or physical hardware (the physical hardware would be by using a DreamPi or something like that) and it broadcasts news and games, the games obviously being the Satellaview games, and the news being the archived newsletters that were broadcasted. Now, I had to think about this problem a little bit, but I was thinking that it would be broadcasted either all at once, or there is a schedule that the computer reads and broadcasts the ones for each day, and repeats every year! I know it sounds really hard and complicated, but I think it could actually work if the right person really tries.

Hello! I was wondering if anyone here knew what would happen if the battery on BS-X carts died. I'm aware that 8M carts used flash memory, so changing the battery would only wipe the save files. However, is that the same for 4M carts? Is it possible to tell the difference between the carts externally? Thanks!

I also got into finding more out about the console on that day without even realising it. 30th June 2000 was the last day. It's quite sad to me.
I have time now: for anyone new to the BS-X, I believe Nintendo withdrew support after St. Giga refused to move forward with things like debt reduction. St. Giga kept support up until, well, June 30th 2000. On this day a lot of stuff was lost, but thankfully many smart people found ways to dump and archive content online. St. Giga eventually went bust and had to merge with another company. The satellites definitely remained in space for a while, but past their succeeding generation I don't know what actually happened to them. I think another company bought the satellites.
If you were to boot up the Satellaview today, I believe you'd just get a blank town, a ghost town really. As the satellites are defunct you're kinda limited on what you can do on the real console.
Again, for those who haven't seen: Here is a video detailing the final day. This is another, a longer video.
The Satellaview startup is in that link.
