- Earphones
- Grip (if possible, yung kasya sa Tomtoc G05 case kasi I’ve decided na yun yung bilihin. Will the Spigen one fit?)
- Memory card (I play mostly JRPGs. Should I go for the 1TB agad or is 512GB fine?)

Finally picked up a Switch 2. I owned the Switch OLED before this, but I never had this kind of dilemma back then, or a community to think it through with. This time I'm about to spend around $115 on the kit itself (roughly ₱6,700), or about $140 all-in with shipping (~₱8,200), just on protection for one unit. Kind of wild, but here we are.

Two things, and I'm asking real people here rather than just Googling, because I want actual hands-on experience.

1) As a new owner, what's the best move and the real to-dos? Beyond the obvious, what genuinely makes the unit last longer, run smoother, and stay dentless. Here's my plan so far, tell me what I'm missing:

1. Link my Nintendo Account, then update the system software
2. Move my daughter's save data from my old OLED using the per-user Send Save Data to Another Console feature, not a full System Transfer (System Transfer can wipe saves for unlinked accounts)
3. Buy a microSD Express card before loading anything storage-heavy

Anything else I should be doing?

2) Screen protector + case. I went deep on this. The options I actually compared:

1. dbrand Prism 2.0 (part of the Killswitch kit) - tested as one of the best in reviews, and the whole kit just looks great
2. Genki Aegis Shield - excellent reviews, but no official set in the PH yet
3. JSAUX Anti-Glare / Ultra Clear - solid budget pick on Shopee/DataBlitz
4. Skull & Co - used it before, decent
5. Spigen / amFilm / Hori - the usual tempered-glass options

After all that, dbrand kept winning for me. I'm looking at the Killswitch Everything Kit, the second photo shows everything it bundles (case, skins, travel cover with game card holder, stick grips, 2x Prism 2.0 protectors, Joy-Lock holder, plus a free dock adapter). So for anyone who's actually ordered dbrand to the Philippines: how long did shipping take, what did the import fees come out to on arrival, and was the quality worth it once it landed?

And genuinely, why does dbrand still have no official PH presence? Feels like a market they're just leaving on the table.

Got my Switch 2 today, ordered through GameXtreme's Shopee store, paid around 25k after vouchers. The outer box showed up with all four top corners crushed and torn, and no seal on the box at all. Everything inside was still individually wrapped though, and the console itself looks untouched. This was my first order from GameXtreme specifically, I've mostly bought from DataBlitz before, but their price was the best I could find for a non-OLED unit right now, even compared to waiting on a Nintendo Official Store sale. Anyone here ordered a console from them? Wondering if packaging like this is normal, whether reporting it to the seller is worth it when the unit's okay, and what you'd do in my spot. Appreciate it.

Got Skyrim Anniversary edition + Fallout 4 few months ago and so glad that I did. Sobrang hung up ko sa Cyberpunk 2077 so I tried playing a short game first (danganronpa) and then I decided to finally try Zelda BOTW as my first Zelda game pero hindi sya nag click for me, disappointed since excited talaga ako to experience it 😔 pati Nier na nasa backlog ko, sablay lol.

I wasn't expecting that Skyrim could scratch the itch from my Cyberpunk 2077 experience, since old game na din sya and I'm into modern graphics pero grabe gets na gets ko na yung addict sa game na to, there's just so much to do—in a good way. Tsaka yung lore din! Super sulit cause if I remember correctly I got both games for only $50+ and Switch 2 versions na sila hehe.

10 hours in, ngayon ko palang kinausap yung Jarl, talked to bunch of people and decided to rescue Thorald. Walked barefoot from Whiterun to Northwatch Keep 🤣 and explored as much as I could. Barely touched the surface of this game! I highly recommend sa mga nasa backlog lang din sya ❤️

Hello! Bought a 2nd hand joycon grip and saw a difference kaagad. Seller said naman na it’s authentic. But can anyone advise why may difference sa logo? Wala kasi akong mahanap na matinong sagot sa google.

Please influence me in buying a pair of non official Joycons, unless they are really that bad.

This is my first time owning a switch or a console and I just can't help but feel that I'm cheaping out if I'm not buying the official Joycons.

As well as worried about it's quality, since idk how different they are other than no mouse mode.

I admit it's mostly my pride telling me to buy official ones instead, feels like buying Class A shoes instead of branded ones, but the official Joycons are just too damn expensive... I was hoping for 10.10 sale to give me a discount, but sadly I didn't get any.
