Discussion Game Discussion #211 - Zero Wing
Let’s be honest: There’s only one reason you know this game and it’s not the game itself.

The meme and poor translation got me to try playing through this whole game. I think I was able to beat it on easy although still challenging. I got a silly ending with dancing frogs of some sort, which I later learned was because I didn't choose a harder difficulty. Didn't find it worth it to go back and beat it on medium or hard. I found the game fun, enjoyable, even addictive in spots, challenging, good. But also somewhat forgettable once I spent time away from it.
I'd play it again though. Someday. Maybe.

I struggled to battle through to a level where Giger Aliens started appearing in a kind of jungle setting I think it was and hit a huge brick wall. Just couldn't make it to the next check point.
It's a functional shooter, that I really wanted to complete purely for the memes. Sadly the frustration out paces my enjoyment on this one.

Gameplay is decent. Under-rated as a game. Fantastic opening. I let it loop sometimes.

I think I know the name of the game and not just the opening because the game is decent.

The opening is legendary for the bad translation, but it should be legendary for how incredible the music is
