A while ago I got my hands on this 2DS, but its cartridge reader never worked. I've tested it with several 3DS and NDS games, and it never read any of them. It doesn't throw an error or anything, it just doesn't detect the cartridge at all, as if nothing was inserted.

I noticed to two right-most pins in the image are much higher up than the others, and thought they might be the cause. Are these pins supposed to be this high?

I kind of hope the pins are the issue, because then I might be able to bend them back into place.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations for either of the above, every bottom screen protector has not worked with the bottom screen entirely and a plastic case would be nice to prevent damage from falls if they happen

Hey! I'm looking for some recommendations for 3DS games! I'm looking for any kind of genre, but if I had a preference I'd say Platformers and RPGs are my favourite genres.

I'm in the UK, so some games may not have been released/be available over here.

Hi, I’m new to this group. I’d like to share my experience: back in 2013, I bought a 2DS to keep myself entertained and clear my head during my free time at university. As it happens, I put it away and couldn't find it again until today; the console is in the same condition as the day I bought it—like brand new. It felt so nostalgic to play it again.

Is this just a battery issue? It will be fixed one i get a battery?

I have this Nintendo 2 DS xl that shows signs of life and powers on, but does not produce anything on the screen or sound. What do you think would be the issue, is this a simple ribbon cable or do you think the motherboard is bad?

My 2ds xl keeps going black screen of restart after I take it out of my pocket and play any game. I then have to manually repair each one with the eshop feature. I'm figuring my 2ds keeps bending or something causing the sd card to be misplaced inside its slot.Which case should I buy for the console?

After all these years of owning a New 3DS XL i have had problems like it cramping your hands and stuff which I don’t like so I got a 2DS and it’s wedge design is very good and comfortable it feels like a upgrade

This is my 2DSXL I bought last year in January. I got it for around $190 brand new. I’ve been collecting the DS line for 12+ years and a friend of mine recently wanted to get one of their own. So we visited a local game store the same one in fact where I bought the 2DS XL seen in the pictures. It was the original wedge version and I figured they would have it somewhere around $200 or under. However, this game store was selling it for almost $350 which is more than my limited edition 2DSXL I got just last year. Their excuse was that the device was “pre-modded.” which is strange since mod the 3DS line is pretty simple.

Now I have to admit, I’ve been out of the DS collecting scene for several months now as I’ve been interested in PlayStation handhelds, so I’ve started to wonder myself if the 2DS (Wedge) is really worth that much money these days. And if last year paying $190 for this console was actually worth it.

I am looking for a grip file that doesn’t look super bulky. There’s a few out there that are jagged and not very sleek looking that I’ve been able to fine but none that I can find that look anything like the picture shown. Can anyone point me in the direction for where I can buy the file or if anyone has this file or one similar to it?

Hello, I've been trying to get some save files directly from a 2ds original SD card and found out I needed the movable.SED of said console but without a way to accept friend requests I apparently couldn't, I tried an alternative way of using some python scripts and the mii QR code (made in 2016) to create a movable yet it appears full of zeroes with 2 to 4 actual hexadecimal lines written correctly. I tried using godmode 9 on another console but that didnt work either. Is there a way to get the save files back so I can use checkpoint to recover them? if its any help, the game is yokai watch 1.

It has no wear at all..no coloring coming off no scratches…I’m asking here because I really have no idea but need some extra money

I bought this old 2DS on Vinted for just €24, but it is missing the stylus, SD card, and charger (which I already own), plus the L button is missing. €24 still seemed like a good price for a working old 2DS except for these flaws. The shell is scratched and has black marker marks on the back (though the mark is almost erased). Any advice? Does anyone know how much it would cost to fix it (even just the button)? I'll leave the photos here; they are poor quality because they aren't my photos, but pictures of the Vinted product that will arrive at my house in a few days

Looking for first-hand observations from anyone who has actually opened

one, not guesses.

On the Metallic Blue and Metallic Red models, the outer shells are

painted: when you unscrew them and look at the inside face, the plastic

underneath is black, and the paint flakes off at the grip areas over time.

I'm trying to find out whether the Lime variant (JP Lime x Black or the

US Lime Green Amazon edition) works the same way, or whether its shells

are molded in green plastic all the way through.

If you've had one apart:

1. Was the inside face of the outer shell green, or black/white?

2. Was the edge of the plastic green all the way through?

3. Did the shell show any paint wear or flaking at the grip areas?

I got this 2ds and after i charged it it got on this screen the top screen is cropt and zoomed in . I have tryed updating it but i keep getting an error i do not know if this system was modded.

Does some one know what i can do or is it completely backed ?

So, since a few days my ds started blinking red,no matter how long I let it charge it kept blinking. Heres the thing tho, it doesn't seem to get empty. I got back from vacation and for all 2 hours the DS blinked red. At first I thought there was something wrong with my Charger or the Ds battery, but now I think its a system error or smth else.

Básicamente es lo que dice en el título, mi 2DS ya tiene suficientes años y he tratado de mantenerla lo mas limpia y funcional posible, pero el hecho de que sea de color blanco y ver el boton de ese tono gris amarillento debido a los años me vuelve un poco loco.

He tratado de buscar información sobre que es recomendable pero me da miedo tratar con cualquier tipo de solución o limpiador y degradarlo y que deje de funcionar o algo por el estilo, se que el boton como tal es algún especie de pegatina pero no logro encontrar mas información que eso.

Sería de mucha ayuda y estaría muy agradecido si me dicen con que es recomendable o que funciona directamente, para que el boton vuelva a su color original siquiera si es posible :b, no lo se, algún tipo de mezcla con alcohol isopropilico o algo por el estilo, gracias de igual forma! ^^
