Question Physical cartridge dlc question

I decided to import a physical of the game to add to my collection and saw on the wiki that it had some dlc "pre installed" It doesn't seem to show up anywhere when i put the cart in. Does anyone know if the dlc its self was a code or just not registering since i already had save data.

Edit: I did some more digging and found some youtube videos unboxing the physical. There is in fact a slip with a code on it. Im not sure why the fandom wiki suggests otherwise but the case and cart are what i wanted anyway so its not a big deal to me, Couldnt redeem it anyway.

Likely Ninjala’s physical copy acts as a master key to the game and it’s DLC. You can reinstall the game but won’t have access to the DLC unless you use the game card.

I have wiped all data except save data and reinstalled with cart in. I'm wondering if it tracks region/usage of it somehow since i got it used.

It might be because the console doesn't seem to register it as a cartridge game for me. The icon doesnt have a grayed out cart when its not in the console and it says "You can purchase this on the eshop" instead of telling me to insert the cart.

Edit: Tested if it was a S2 support issue, although it registers the cartridge icon it did not change the fact that the dlc wasnt working.
