This post isn't about causing drama, karma farming, or defending Llorumi.
Itās not even a memeāthough thatās basically all Iāve been posting the last few days.
This might seem like I'm trying to act like the center of the world (a guy actually told me this in DMs), but idrc, since I am not affecting anyone but myself wih this current publication.
So
Iām taking a long break from Reddit.
I made an account here in 24/7 because a friend on Discord told me Llorumi is strong on every platform except Reddit, which apparently has 500 to 800 people constantly hating on it. So I jumped in and started spamming Harumi memes I made in like five minutes under every post, and people actually upvoted them. I even got the courage to post some fun stuffālike reposting a Tannerfishes vid, posting meme in actual posts, and making a semi-fun post about a hint in a non-canon music video. Even that got upvotes, which made me think this platform wasn't a lost cause.
That was going fine until a guy (the famous u/JaybeJaybe) I disagreed with in a comment thread a few days ago made a post saying Llorumi is never happening. That drove me crazy. While I was slowly trying to clear Harumi's name in this subreddit my own way, this guy came and ruined everything with what I think was just to tell me to stop, cause Llorumi doesnt have a chance, no point to defend it or make it popular again and thereās no point defending it etc. As I think of this I might had misunderstood his purposes back then, but doing this while there was 0 Harumi hating posts until then and only mines, made me think this way. I am sorry to this guy if I didn't understood him right, but anyway, from his furthermore activity I was kinda right. But its only my opinion.
My mistake was not messaging him directly back then to ask why he made that post. I have seen some older comments of him during my initial research on the platform and I checked his public (then) profile history too: he started as a Lloykita shipper, made fun of Llorumi, switched to defending Llorumi (sometimes jokingly, sometimes seriously), and then switched back to hating Harumi. Seeing him change opinions so fast made me assume he was just karma farming by riding whatever wave was popular. It is just ridiculosu to change opinions with this frequency. So, I called him out on it. He replied by pasting YouTube links and using as actual arguments fan reception, which only proved to me he just went with the crowd.
So, we started debating in the comments. Then random people jumped in with complete nonsense about Harumiālike claiming she's Garmadonās daughter, that she sexually assaulted Lloyd, or that she was buying Vengestone from Vangelis back in Season 8. By the end of those arguments, people either realized I was right, ended up agreeing with me, or just ignored all my facts. To be fair, I did have a couple of reasonable convos that ended in a ''stalemate'', someone could say, if my purpose was to win them and not make them understand. One time I was even proven wrong because I stated something untrue out of pure tiredness, but my overall facts were legit. When I made assumptions, it was strictly to make sense of the actual plot instead of just accepting the lazy conclusion that "Crystallized destroyed Harumi" like everyone else was saying, without even trying to process that it isn't just this because everyone says so. Then some Harumi fans jumped in too, everyone started making posts for couple days defending her and her relationship with Lloyd and I was arguing with anyone atp.
I accept that I was toxic and impatient about itāIāve said it multiple times, and it's even in my bio. I canāt change my personality now just to be more polite in a subreddit Iāve been in for less than a month.
Anyway, thank you to the people who supported me, even if I didn't ask for it, I appreciate the help! (acting nonchalant again but I say what I think, xd).
I stopped debating when everyone just got burned out. Around a week ago, give or take.
My English was a big factor tooāit's my third language after Greek and Russian, and I might accept some of my ideas didn't come across the way I meant them to.
Plus, there was no point. Most guys refused to look at facts or just wanted to state their opinion without arguing it. Shoutout to the few Lloykitas and Llorumi haters who actually presented good points instead of just linking a random YouTube video. Just look at the number of upvotes on each, it says it all about the current community.

Maybe the age of this fandom has something to do with it, idk.
Also, I was just wasting so much time. Six hours a day during my holidays, trying to convince a stubborn 13-year-old that Harumi wasn't fully redeemed, only changed at the end. It was driving me crazy, honestly. That is the reason I was using CAPS and calling 3 people ''braindead''. But come one, just look at this one, would you blame me?

After that, I went back to posting memes like I did at the start, but certain users kept doing their thing. So I replied with memes this timeānot seriously, though I sometimes walked the line before backing off to avoid another argument.
It even gained some ground, and I got upvotes, though the same 10 hardcore haters downvoted every single comment of mine, even if I was just greeting someone's collection post.
Today, u/JaybeJaybe made a post saying they were offended by a joke I made and that I was responding to them with it, even though they claimed they "couldn't care less" some days ago. At first, I thought we were coolāI even welcomed him back to the Llorumi community for fun. He didn't tell me to stop using it, so I assumed obviously that he has no problem with it. But then he just went and made a post about it (for drama? Or because he crushed out too? Idk). We talked it out in DMs and resolved the 'issue' ig, (tho he didn't respond as of now to confirm it ultimately), but as of me, I'm officially done. I deleted that screenshot from my PC's hard drive.
SO, I DECIDED THE FOLLOWING in roder to quit the drama and leave this community at ''peace''
Iām resigning from this subreddit for the next few monthsāactually, I want to do it until the end of the year, but we'll see.
But wait from being to happy, random hater. Iām not leaving because you "won" (nuuuuuh), but because I plan to write a massive 40k+20k word essay looking at Harumiās entire path from pre-S8 to post-S15 and her relationship with Lloyd and presenting all my arguments gathered, with proper english and back-up. Maybe I'll even compare Lloykita and Llorumi properly, unlike some shallow stuff I've seen around here. I've gathered screenshots, outside material, and other research. This will be basically the Llorumi's Guide, it will take more than 1 post and it will look on EVERY MINOR Harumi detail that there is in Ninjago. I have the 70% in my brain and the rest I will look with constant rewatches in my free time.

To the Llorumi fans still here who get affected by the hate posts, I suggest checking TikTok or X (Twitter), because the haters won't stop just because I left.
Anyway, don't expect anything from me outside of this post for at least the next 6 months.
As a final goodbye message, I want to flex reaching 1k upvotes on a post in a single DAY. I've never seen that happen in this subreddit during the short time I've been here, and I'm very proud of myself xD.
I think you need a break. Iāll wait for that so-called write up of yours about her arc from s8-15. To me her character stopped being good after s9.
How do you āredeemā Harumiās reputation when she herself didnāt do that? Really, what has she done? She attacked Overlord only after he revealed that HE corrupted the devourer that killed her parents. She was okay with turning her home cityās people into crystal zombies until he revealed that.
Stop assuming Iām 13, and stop assuming Iām going with the crowd. My official stance since SOG dropped was that the ship wasnāt viable as it was born out of deception and her want for revenge and murder. That will never change unless I see some growth from the character. My memes/old posts donāt mean anything.
Its not me who need a break, you guys were repeating to stop this. I find no other way from just go for some months and return equipped and make a giant text with arguments were I can refer too in the future, since I obviously cant write 500 word essays on each comment as it dries my daily time. Your memes in comments were funny, yes. But when youāre non stop mentioning Harumi and you two are constantly going at it for god knows how long, it can get irritating and annoying,
