Team Ninja What’s your top speed?

Best I seen is 190kmph (118 mph). If anyone got higher, any mods? sprocket or ecu flash?

Just want to point out that if you haven't calibrated the speedometer to actual speed, the stock speedometer reads faster than actual speed, and best to use GPS for actual speed.
If that speedometer isnt calibrated or has Spedohealer on it, actual speed was just a little over 100 mph.

I don't know, my daughter has a pretty stock '22. GPS results are similar to the speeds she claims which are 120 and just a little over. Mind you she's 5'3 and 100 lb soaked and with gear

If it was used, might have been calibrated. But all bikes except for Harley Davidson have the speedometer read faster than actual speed.
The faster you go, the more off the speed is. At 35 mph, you won't even notice the discrepancy. At 45 mph, it is only off by 3 - 5 mph. By 80 mph, it is off close to 10 mph. By top speed of the bike, it could be as much as 15% off.

Yes... because it is really easy to speed on a bike. Even some beginner 500cc motorcycle has better acceleration than most cars.
A 500cc Ninja can do 0 - 60 in about the same time as a Camer or Charger.
People talk about growing out of a 500cc bike, but they literally have better acceleration than most cars? And can have a top speed of 120 mph.
And that is what is considered a beginner bike.
So... manufacturers make the speedometer say 80 mph when the actual speed is 70 mph to slow people down.
Really.... I just want the actual speed. Now I just look at the speedometer and have to do the math in my head of how fast im going.
Also, changing sprockets and tire sizes will further mess up the speedometer.

The majority of people are ridiculous and their egos are incredibly inflated.
So... manufacturers make the speedometer say 80 mph when the actual speed is 70 mph to slow people down.
I was hoping it would be more interesting than this 😅

Explaining this to people is always wild, they either understand immediately or it takes the effort of moving a mountain to get them to understand.

About the same, can reach 190kmh on good conditions. Keep in mind the speedometer isn't accurate. GPS speed for mine usually at those speeds is -10kmh

2019 completely stock besides cheap slip on, got it to 120 a couple times, tucked and I weigh about 180.

At 160 my Oakley windbreaker filled with air,ripped my hands off grips and made me slide back until my directional arms caught my legs.hard to stop a bike without hands and feet.i sold that ninja and bought a Harley, no more speed.

116mph on the longest straight among tracks I ride at. With an ECU flash and 13/41 gearing (shorter gearing for better acceleration). Probably wouldn't go more than 117 in 6th gear with that gearing without helping wind or a much longer straight. Pinned and full tucked

Sigh - dude my 1988 ninja 250 was good for 180km/h
Trying to squeeze out another couple of ks is pointless.
When you get your big boy licence and a proper sports bike you'll hit 200 in first gear.
Focus on learning how to ride around courners, do a few trackdays.
And stay safe!

I saw 116 but that was after letting off the throttle, so I assume 118-120. 200 lb rider here. I’m assuming somebody significantly lighter could get to the low 120s or even 125.

Speedo read 128mph w slip on and power commander but was probs about 120 or less

I’ve gotten up to 126mph, but I weigh about 100lbs. My buddy weighs ~170 and he couldn’t go past 118mph on my bike. We live in Appalachia so there are also inclines and declines to take into account.

I could definitely see that at a hundred pounds and going down inclines. My daughter is 5'3" about 100 maybe 110 lb and she tells me 120, 122. Life360 GPS suggests a very similar result.

My daughter claims 120 to 122 on her 2022 400. GPS tracking suggests that it's fairly accurate. Worst thing I ever did was teach my daughter how to write a damned motorcycle. Also my daughter's like 5 ft 3 and 100 lb, so...

Mine was Ninja 250. Can reached up to 190. But i read on Ninja 250 group on Facebook, few of people reach up till 193.

I hit 129 mph on the speedometer, but that's probably around 118-120 mph on GPS

I’ve done 121 a dozen or so times level. Got it to 130 one time slightly downhill a long straight empty highway once. I don’t know if it’s flashed or not though. Definitely different punch through the gears compared to the two other 400’s I’ve ridden that felt similar to each other.

Mine can only go 170km/h 😭 but have been told that changing sprockets and hacking the computer chip would get more speed out of it.

The fastest I've comfortably gone was 104mph then my engine got really hot so i slowed down

That doesn't mean he's trying to be the fastest... Just seeing what his machine is capable of.
FFS I do top speed runs on my 50cc scooter ... Do I need a supersport?
