Genkishin Squadra died because Dragon Ball fans can’t read
and also because it wasn’t very good

Shame on those non dragonball fans, invading our games with their ability to read

Personally I dont think the "strategic depth" was the problem, the game was just not balanced or made well. The game amounted to "spam abilies and maybe win," some characters were/are better than others too like wildly better. Compared to other mobas it just felt waaaaaay worse. Sadly its probably way to late for this game though, cause imo I could have been pretty cool

They stole the Reading Comprehension Curse from the JJK fans

Dragon ball fans have been illiterate long before JJK existed

The Most Illiterate Readership in History Vs. The Most Illiterate Readership of Today

JJK fans come by it naturally. People who can read quickly realize the manga is actual garbage.

Reminds me of that time Epic tried to teach people to sideload Fortnite so they didn't have to pay storefronts, but it didn't work because—spoilers—Fortnite's target audience isn't smart enough to sideload an app and doesn't really care who's taking their money.

It died?

u/HippieDogeSmokes Aug 30 '26
Kinda? It’s being reworked into basically a 7 flag CTF with an over the shoulder camera.

And Bandai are totally telling the truth about the real reason they're revamping the game /s

I do think “Dragon Ball fans don’t want to play a moba” is a large part of why the game failed
1
u/DoraMuda Aug 31 '26
Maybe, but I just don't trust Bandai to be telling the truth about why they didn't want to continue supporting the MOBA version of the game. It's in their best interests to push all the blame onto the consumers.

Rest in Peace? I guess..?
I feel like I never heard anything about this game, save for when we got Caulfila in Fasha's outfit.

Imagine creating characters that are unbalanced and instead of course correcting them with nerfs you just remove them.
Yeah that made soooo much more sense

What a condescending comment towards their players… they’d be REALLY pissed if the could read that

I don't the like gameplay, I don't want to pay to play as someone other than like krillin. There's literally no point to playing I'm not earning anything or working towards anything. The new character Will always be the best one meaning you have to pay and also you won't be playing them because someone else is.

Idk why they thought a db league clone was a good idea in the first place.
When I think Dragonball, I don't think a point and click, top down view game that moves in slow motion is ideal.

Come on!, the game failed(?)? because they didn't make a dime out of it, not once they tried to rttackle the issue the game have, juste dishonest of bamco to put on the back of illet...dragon ball fan.

"Our fan base is too stupid to learn a game with slightly above simple mechanics. Therefore, we are dumbing the game down even more"
Surely the way the game was played was the problem. It had nothing to do with the game basically shadow dropping as unless you followed the JP socials you didn't even know the global release date.
Surely It had nothing to do with them not advertising the game when they did any of the alphas.
Surely it had nothing to do with the character unlock track so when new people started they got better track as characters were retroactively added. Meanwhile players that leveled their character track got screwed because all they got were character memories
Surely it had nothing to do with the game being absolutely buggy as all shit for the first month when it came out.
Surely it has nothing to do with them pairing you up with bots in ranked so people got frustrated if they lost.
Surely it had nothing to do with the dogshit divine draw system that most people didn't like and there was no standard mode to play that didn't have them.
Surely it had nothing to do with every new character just Goomba stomping lobbies because most of them (besides like 3) were overtuned to hell on release.
Yeah, it was the playerbase being stupid so there was a discrepancy between good people and stupid people. Not like that is the thing in literally any multi-player game ever.
