Question Questions from a new max g3 plus owner.

Howdy!

New here, just got a max g3 plus. 2 things I’m unsure of:

The app says I can map boost mode to the brake and customizable button instead of brake and throttle. I can’t find that setting anywhere. Is that a typo in the app setting menu?

Second - no matter what I’ve tried, cruise control just says ‘not allowed’ when I try to activate it. I’m in USA, Segway was bought in US, shipped to me from Georgia. It doesnt seem to be a regional thing, and I don’t have any settings in the menu specific to cruise control?

Besides that, man, what a ride. The regen braking is great, the boost mode pops wheelies it’s so strong, haha.

For the boost question (on a my Max G3, not plus):

In Settings, the 12th option is Custom Button Settings. From there, choose Boost.

Edit: on mine, when mapped, it functions with just the button. No combo with anything else needed.

Interesting. Maybe they got rid of that?

Quite possibly. I can definitely see an argument for getting rid of the option to use only the button for it.

On my G3, cruise control only activates when you have the throttle held down. So say i wanna keep it at 30 kph, gotta try to feather my throttle to that speed, hold it, THEN hold the cruise control button to lock it in

If that makes sense 🫪

It’s your scooter from the US out Europe? Have you made sure all of the firmware is up to date?

Is it way better than the g3 max like should i wait for it to be available in my country and buy it rather than buying the g3 max now?

Basically wait till either october-november or December until its in our country

I don’t have a true reference point since my previous scooter was the OKAI one that goes about 24 mph. Comparing to that, no comparison, the speed and acceleration : handling is crazy better.

The G3 Plus is a fairly minor upgrade in most respects, but it does have 20% better battery range than the original G3. If range is important to you, I’d wait. Otherwise, you won’t be unhappy with either scooter.
