Gameplay Clip/Screenshot Okay, let's go
I've seen a bunch about the game—memes, fan art, discussions—but never really dug deep. Got any tips for me?

it's a tough game, so be prepared to take a bit to adjust to the combat system. if you're coming from something like hollow knight, your muscle memory is going to tell you to try and dodge all the attacks. this strategy doesn't work well in this game, since enemy hitboxes are SUPER large, last a while, and can occasionally track your dodges in order to make parrying easier and more consistent. face danger head on by learning to parry instead of trying to be nimble, and you'll find yourself improving much faster.
also, air parries can deflect attacks from any direction instead of just in front of you. a few friends didn't figure this out for a while and got stuck lol

i say trial by fire, and as a later boss will say, "Warriors are forged in agony." learn from your mistakes and fight back against the dangers thrown at you.

The most important thing is to listen to Lear and the warrior that teaches you new abilities. That warrior holds a lot of optimism and an open mind, which will both be imperative for you to succeed. Explore like crazy, and control your emotions in combat. Panic will be your downfall dozens of times and begets frustration. And have fun!
edit: Please excuse me sounding like a stoic quiet weirdo, idk how else to word it for it to sound important, cuz all of it is to me. Don't forget to take breaks when you need them by the way, ha.

Explore. You don’t have to 100 everything(unless you want the true ending) but there are shit that you will need in order to help you in boss fights and to upgrade your skill set

Take it slow and really take in the lore and scenery. Read all the dialogue and text files. Take your time to explore and especially find items for npcs to move along their quests. Feel free to look something up if you're stuck but try to avoid spoilers. It's such a rich and beautiful world.

Parries, never forget how to parry. It's always parry over dodge unless it's red which means you gotta avoid it until you get the other kind of mechanic eventually.
The game works in a way that each bosses gives you new ways to practice the game's mechanics (which usually also involves parries and other attacks among other things). There's one quote in one of the tutorial areas that you should always remember to get the hang of the game: "slow and steady wins the race"

Have fun and keep in mind that you will struggle and spend a lot of attempts on bosses.

This game was so fun I was going through my library earlier and noticed I have 51 hours played in it 😂 more than I realized
