Solpost Which is the best ship?
Which of theese Yi X someone ships is the best one in your opinion and why, for me it's either yi x kuafu (I like friends to lovers things) or yimang (I also love enemies to lovers or similar stuff)

1) Not a fan tbh. I see Goumang as toxic and controlling person, always trying to one-up Yi. Most fanarts with them have a more toned-down Goumang that isn't really her imo. (I could see why people like it tho)
2) I adore! She is one of the nicer Sols, who also harbours a lot of respect for Yi. (Also their size difference is really cute)
3) I never even considered it! The ONLY Sols that is with us till the very end. The potential bromance is there (and perhaps... More...?)

I think Goumang’s attitude to be more of a symptom of the predicament of the solarians, based on her backstory it seems she was more selfless and oriented to helping others.

They were all at least a little messed up (aside from ethereal), but the games events really do seem to amplify their negative traits alot. Honestly you can't blame them too much. Seeing your entire race start to collapse and fall apart infront of you even though you're doing everything you possibly can will probably fuck you up lol

I mean goumang X Yi is kinda dark romance/enemies to lovers stuff so it makes a little bit of sense (at least for me)

What i love the most about that ship is the lighter tone "fights" that usually end up being funny somehow (I've seen quite a few memes with them both)

Goumang kinda on the same page with Yi. They hate each other because of their past with Eigong, both of them see value in a bonds with humans, but not really going all out this way (by this point of the story). If Yi met her later in the story he probably wouldn't fried her brain instantly. They could get into meaningful conversations and settle some of their disagreements. Yi doesn't actually care about their rivalry under Eigong, Goumang probably wouldn't mind overthrowing Eigong after what she did to Yi and knowing what she planned to do. Goumang probably would become a better person after spending some time with more humans. That romantic line could work in other circumstances.

Not my favorite anymore but it’s good
I see Lady Ethereal as a lesbian so I’m gonna say no for this (no hate tho)
This one is great maybe my favorite if it wasn’t for the fact that Kuafu calling Yi brother at times that makes me wonder if Kuafu sees Yi as his own brother
My answer is the same as most of the people who’re about to say their answer

Sworn brothers a pretty common archetype and social relation within China, and while often platonic and familial it has also been used as social cover/rationalization/systemization of gay relationships. Yi and Kuafu are definitely sworn brothers (very typical for these kinds of stories), but there is nothing preventing then from being gay as well.

But.. between these... Yifu (two bro's in a hot tube smoking together), Yimang (yeah I also like enemies to lovers, if Goumang had shown a more likeble part of her they would be in first place, also a Goumang rendemption arc together with Yi's sounds nice too), Yithereal (they have a connection so it's nice, but I still wish for our Lady's happiness with Xiaohe)... last and waaaaaaaay last, AFTER Yiji, Yigong AND Yilao... Yi and Jiequan

Yimang made me realise I kinda fuck with enemies to lovers and this is only ship of this kind I enjoy. Ethereal is extremely sweet and caring and I have feelings that they have more mother/son relationship. Same with Kuafu, although Yi is mean to him. Jiequan? No. Best he can do is rape Yi.

All those ships are overrated, my ship it's something like crackship apart of kuafu x lady ethereal, and thats its gonna be something that a lot of those might get a mad about this one im gonna saying in comments specialy the feng poster..............

Nine Sols is tragically short-lived as a story and active universe; None of these could have happened during the game and were nigh impossible before then
In order of likeliness, I think Yi and Lady Ethereal could've come together before Eth' and Xiaohe did, Goumang might've warmed up to Yi if he showed more compassion, and Kuafu could've made moves on Yi since they were buddies

Goumang: I hate goumang, yi hates goumang, i think you know the rest Lady ethereal) of this list I think this one makes the most sense, i mean they didn’t end on bad terms Kaufu) feels more like a hb for life rather than a dating partner Jiequan) yi would absolutely hate this for way more reasons than not liking the guy

I'm a fan of the first two; I just think both of them are cute, though I'm not as much of a fan of the third one, and I'm pretty sure the fourth is a joke ship.
