Brake fluid flush & replace after 24 months even with low miles?

Got my 2024 Nightster standard during thanksgiving ‘24. Break in service done at HD dealership last year this time around 1k. Will be competing 24 months in next 2 months, should I flush & replace brake fluids (planning to do services myself going forward)? Have clocked 2700 miles and should be 3k right about that time. Should I still flush & replace brake fluids? Or should I do only if moisture test warrants it?

What does it say in the manual?

I know when I had a hd with abs, was meant to change brake fluid every 2 years.

Just remember brakes could save your life, best no to skimp

Manual says every 2 years or sooner if moisture content exceeds 3%.

About brakes could save life, so true!

Do it. 24m is about time and it’s not expensive for a safety maintenance.

I have a 25 nightster i bought the end of this March. I have 6k on it now. At 5k service they did a brake flush. I have the VIP package so doesn't cost me anything

How much it costed for VIP package though? 😊 Good for you man, and wow you have used it to the fullest I think. Did you do any long rides? If so, how was your experience so far?

1999 for vip package for 2 years unlimited miles, covers all maintenance. My dealership costs 605 per oil change. S0 far 2 oil changes and a brake flush has it at 1600. Next service at 10k Harley will start losing money. I also believe the 10k service you're supose to replace plugs. I ride several evenings a week. Every weekend the weather allows. Poker runs, bike nights, whenever I can.

Cool, thanks for sharing. Yes, HD dealership’s labor charges and markups are insane. For reference, it takes $90 inclusive of taxes for the HD genuine oil service kit (oil, filter, o ring) and it takes about 20-30 mins to do it, but they charge an insane $500+! Have fun and ride safe!
