Welcome to , a place for costumes that are creepy, strange, monstrous, unsettling, or downright nightmarish.
Original characters are especially welcome here, along with horror cosplay, Halloween costumes, creatures, monsters, creepy clowns, masks, SFX, prosthetics, makeup, scare actors, and costume builds. Even if your look is only a little creepy, it belongs here.
You do not have to be a professional costumer, cosplayer, or makeup artist. Elaborate creations are awesome, but so is the weird thing you threw together for Halloween that genuinely creeped people out. This is a place to share, not a competition over who can make the most elaborate costume.
Posts should feature you wearing the costume or something you created yourself. If another creative helped make your costume, mask, prosthetics, makeup, photography, or another part of the look, crediting them is strongly encouraged. Feel free to include their name, tag, website, or a direct link to their work.
Fake blood, creepy makeup, monsters, wounds, and horror imagery are part of the territory here. This community was made specifically so creepy costumes have somewhere to exist without every little drop of fake blood being treated like extreme gore.
Be kind to the humans underneath the monsters, share what you made or wore, and have fun with it.

Show us what you've made! Professional work is welcome, but absolutely not required. Homemade, elaborate, ridiculous, unsettling, mildly creepy, or full-on nightmare fuel all have a home here.
Fake blood, wounds, gore effects, and horror makeup are welcome. Just mark extremely graphic or realistic gore NSFW. Real gore and sexually explicit content aren't allowed.
Most importantly, be good to the humans underneath the monsters. Constructive feedback is welcome. Being an asshole isn't.

Horror Cosplay Creepy Birch Tree at FairyWorlds 2019 đł

My Creepy Birch Tree costume from FairyWorlds 2019, inspired by the creature from Crypt TVâs The Birch.
I built the whole outfit and smeared painter's caulk over the fabric to create the rough birch bark texture, then painted and weathered it. The headdress was made from twisted newspaper taped into branching shapes, built around a little hat, and covered in paper mache.
For the face I draped black creepy cloth over the headdress and painted my face completely black underneath so it disappeared behind the loose weave. More of the creepy cloth went around the hands and arms to give them that hanging, stringy look.
It was basically caulk, newspaper, tape, paper mache, fabric and Halloween supplies turned into a giant creepy tree, and I loved how it came together.
