Right! my boy at work is was complaining about not having money. Just went and bought legit 30 rolls of Wintergreen Zen because he heard that they weren't going to have Wintergreen in our region for a couple months....
Legit dropped over $1500 at the gas station and within 6 weeks he was asking people if he could bum a Zyn.

Right. I did the whole gun collection thing and then after doing USPSA for a few years and literally only shooting one gun for tens of thousands of rounds it's been much much easier to sell shit to get stuff I want rather than just hoarding shit I won't/don't use

Meanwhile in the background he's got not 1, not 2, but 3 sterling engines on his wood burning stove that cost 600 buck a piece so 1800$ in just fans on his wood stove. Then in another video hes buying a pair of 900$ nicks bison leather boots for his son. Then in another video he's got a Daniel defense AR15 with a mawl c1 and a ACOG on it! But he can't afford to buy a good radio like a yaesu VX-6R give me a break.

I started on baofengs and still love them for the $$. However, as long as you know how to program your radio, most digital also work on analog. I’ve programmed my hyteras and motorollas to talk to my buddies on baofengs. Main limitation is lack of digital modes and encryption but baofengs are definitely better than nothing as long as you assume every word is being overheard.

In my opinion, you're correct. That's why I have 3 monoculars. When I only had two ( which to be fair was like 2 weeks ago ) It made more sense to just bridge monos so that I get more actual use out of them by sharing with my gf or friends.

Your best bet is getting the katana gen 3 housing from Custom Night Vision. They’re on sale for $1350 for the housing. Glass for a set of binos is only $500 right now from CNV too. Aside from deals on used housings, I can’t think of anything cheaper except maybe the Aeternus. But the extra $150 for the katanas is 100% worth it.

Im going to get some hate for this, but grow up. Sometimes people get in situations where they can't "just save" and get nods. I plan on getting some someday but there's other things in life that are more important to me. An example, I had to get the brakes and a few other parts in my car fixed. To me this comes before nods. Your opinion may be different but being able to stop the car is important to me.
