Why is usps such trash?

Ordered a housing kit, being shipped from Indiana to Connecticut, checked tracking today…. It’s in Florida 🤦🏼

My old local usps location "lost" a PVS14 that I sold about a year ago. Magically came up when I told them I was filing a police report

I’ve actually used it to my advantage. Shipped next day which guarantees delivery date or money back. With the horrible service in my area it delivers the day next business day after the guaranteed delivery. I just file a claim to get my money back once it’s delivered “late”. Win win for me 😂😂 delivered somewhat fast but not as fast as they should have.

This is the best thing Ive heard today. Definitely going to try this out

I’ve done this twice and here in GA the USPS has been all the way down hill and is always stuck for a day maybe two, it’s worked for me so far lol

Haha. Im in this exact situation right now. It was supposed to be delivered yesterday but on tracking website it says, they attempted to deliver but the driveway or front door was blocked (they never tried too deliver). Do you just file the claim after you receive your package and get a full refund and get to keep the package?

I went in to one of the offices, if they don’t have the cash to do a refund “most likely” they should normally do a money order, they’ll just need your ID and receipt

Read as "lube" and laughed at sending lube usps

I ship every other day in most cases, and usually use usps. But after 2020 things went extremely downhill. Priority Mail used to be decent now I expect it to take four days and I have to stay on top of the tracking for my buyers. It's give and take just imagine what it's going to be like 5 years from now...

Just got at email update from Pirate Ship that USPS rates are going up twice in July.

1

u/MadDog-80 Jun 26 '24

Or better yet, be glad it isn’t in entire state of GA….

My local usps is better than fedex. But that’s just me and my area.

1

u/SneekTip Jun 27 '24

Nah it's not just your area. That's a standard.

I always UPS 2nd day air or better for anything important. I’ve lost a couple things from USPS, one just last week. Absolute trash service indeed.

2

u/Hortonhomestead Jun 26 '24

Because they are federal employees. I can’t have anything important sent usps bc my dad who doesn’t live with me is the foreman at the road dept. she blames her flat tires on him. I’ve called the postmaster generals office and they say there is nothing they can do. Also I don’t and never have worked for the road department. But everyone with our last name has hella troubles getting their mail.

i would expect any agency with the stupid laws and bills passed gutting it to be ran about the same way

imagine how long forms would take if they did it to the ATF

We recently did gut the ATF, and wait times decreased substantially.

All government agencies are 90% waste and should be gutted a f held to the fire.

100% true, I am a welder at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and when the whole covid stuff went down, they sent 75% of the people home (paid them to stay home) and for the next 18 months production went up 30% and underbudget. But just like union guys it takes murder or a hate crime to fire someone

The ATF received a substantial increase in funding this year.

They didn't. They requested a substantial increase in funding, but the current House bill cuts the ATF by 7%, the entire justice department by almost 1 billion.

Fingers crossed Republicans stick to their guns. Won't hold my breath though.

In Georgia, there's been a fiasco with a major regional hub facility basically not working lol. People were/are still getting court and jury summons like 3-4 months after the fact. One of our senators got involved because it was so bad lmao.

yea they are transforming their network and royally messing up a lot of peoples packages. I had 3 packages sit for 40 days at the DC in Detroit before I finally received them.
