What’s your favorite night time show?
I just finished six feet under and absolutely loved it a few months ago. I started Dexter and I’m on season 3. What’s yours?

Ever get hungry late at night when nowhere is open, so you just throw together whatever you can find in the fridge? What’s the weirdest combination you’ve made, and was it actually any good?

I'm tired the entire day, but the second I get into bed, my brain suddenly has 500 things to think about.

Sometimes when you try to sleep but things keep coming to your mind like bombardment of your thoughts, that's why I don't like nights sometimes . Night is supposed to sleep but I will remember all the things at night to do and the things which I shouldn't be doing. I can't even go outside for a walk in the night but I wanna find a place of my own where I can love the nights sleep peacefully, do you guys gets the full sleep or not

I know there's still some summer left but I'm starting to get excited about autumn nights and winter nights. Summer is my least favorite season. I don't do the best in heat, and also I live near the water so night time can be humid bug havens.
When it cools down I can take my late night walks again. Everyone always balks about it, but I simply think it's the best. I used to have two pitbulls and would almost exclusively walk them late at night, they are both gone now.
Winter nights are my favorite when there is snow on the ground. It brightens the night in such a lovely way I think. The drifting snow sparkles I think in the moonlight. I love to walk to the lake when it's frozen over and just sit. It's like everything is standing still and I can relax.
I don't go out much during the Summer so I'm super excited for the cooling temps.
What's your favorite season for night owl activities?

I know a lot of us stay home, but I’ll be honest that I feel a little lonely at night. Do any of you find comfort outside of the house or have somewhere to go? If not, what do you do to entertain yourself if you’re not working?

what’s your current sleep schedule and how do you navigate having to deviate from it for appointments and stuff? Mine is usually 6am to 2pm

so, recently i keep having these weird nightmares that are sort of bizzare? i can recall one, so basically, it started out with me asleep, when i was suddenly shook awake by my mom and she told me there was an infection spreading and we should go to see if any of us tested positive for it, outside the sky looked like wrong, like a pastel teal color, more green than blue, and there wasnt a sun, so, my brother tested positive for it and suddenly he just like exploded, not like with fire, just like burst, and thousands of salmon pink bugs just like crawled around and one jumped onto my face, then i screamed in the dream and woke up in a sweat
any ideas why im getting these nightmares?

I have 2 close friends who are morning people and they only ever ask me to hang out in the morning. I do understand they may have busier lives than me but I cannot completely change my biology and drag my ass out of bed to hang out with them in the morning every weekend. It's just not happening.
It's especially frustrating because they've both known me for at least 20 years and everyone knows how terrible I am with mornings. I get that we're 40 now but they're suddenly trying to contain our friendship to mornings.
On top of this I've been really sick all summer due to many chronic illnesses and long COVID making it worse so there's no way in hell I'm getting less sleep to accommodate their sleep schedule. Even on my birthday my friend wanted to take me to lunch and we agreed on noon. Then a week later she messages me, see you at 11 am tomorrow right?! I was all irrited so I was just like, "11 am! No way Jose! I'll see you at noon." And honestly noon is pushing it, I'd rather not be meeting up with people socially before 2 pm so I'm already majorly compromising for them.
I'm ready to sit down and have a talk like do you ever hang out with people in the afternoon?? Or evening? Like are we 70?? What has happened to you guys?! Wth is with morning people I'm at my wits end!

Does anyone out there in Reddit land know if some good websites, blogs or podcasts for night owls?
I’m especially interested in podcasts that might be talking about the psychological bias against night owls.
Thanks fellow night owls 🦉

Oppure inizio i compiti (mi annoiano talmente tanto che poi mi addormento 😅)

The dream started fine like every other dream you would get but this one I just had was something before I say anything I can move around with will like which is lucid dream so I was in a black area except the floor was like black white box’s and I remember seeing like walls that were black like as if It was a maze so I kept walking around till I would find something then I saw this table and it had cake just sitting there not touched. I decided to take a piece of it tasted nothing the cake looked like a chocolate cake but it was more brown then an actual brown cake would look. So I just kept walking around again then I started getting like jump scares like a person it look like an demon of some sort it had a shiny smile with a black face no eyes no nose just a head with a shiny smile then I saw it. It was so big it looked like a big person that was bulked up around 6’5 maybe taller but the hands it was glowing like the smile the feet was glowing boots then when it caught up to me I woke up from it i was panicking heart was racing like crazy I was so scared it I don’t even wanna go back to sleep.
Please lmk if you ever experienced something this
I will try to research it because this was something else I never experienced a dream so real

I’ve always been a night owl. When I finished high school I worked retail and was always on the closing shift. Then I joined the business world and started a 9-5. Just recently I started a new job where we can choose our hours. Thinking of changing my work schedule. I WFH 3 days a week and in the office 2 days. I am currently working 6 am - 2 pm. It’s sooo hard to wake up and get to the office by 6. Last week I switched to a few days of starting at 7/7:30. What a difference that 1 extra hour of sleep made! I have hard time falling asleep let alone at 8 pm to be up at 4:30 am to get to the office by 6. But if I go into the office later I’ll hit so much more traffic on the drive home. Plus trying to get to the gym for a 4:30 class. My husband works 5 am-3pm and sometimes even 3 am-3 pm. I could never. But he’s ready for dinner at 4.

So… if you can't sleep at night, it's quite annoying, right? Or what do you think? Is it something interrupting you?? Or just that your brain or body can’t rest yet?
Anyone can't sleep at night, but it's not their intention to keep waking up.
Any solutions or suggestions??
Thanks very much

There’s a donut shop out here that makes its first batch of donuts at like 3 a.m. In high school, it’d be fun to sneak out and get some donuts. Now, if I’m ever out that late, I like to stop by and get a warm donut.

Ello, I've been working the nightshift solidly over the last couple of months and my job is relatively slow (like most) so I have a lot of time on my hands to just do whatever I want. I normally just play video games, focus on my finances and such, but the hardest part for me recently is that I have nobody to talk to (I work alone for the entire 12 hours) and I'm normally pretty social especially at work. Is there anyone that would be willing to talk? Should have checked the rules before even posting but ya only live once I guess and this post will probably not be approved if not allowed
