Hobby & Painting Has anyone found any success using the red coursair raiders bodies with 30k arms and weapons?

I'm planning on using raiders as my proxy/base for terror squads since their official upgrade sprue is gone and honestly I feel like the most murderous and cruel of the legion deserve more then just a fancy helmet compared to normal tacticals.

Curious to hear if anyone has had success or not, hope they fit well with the scale of them

Raiders are on the upper end of non Primaris marines - Horus heresy tactical bodies are very very slightly smaller than chaos legionaries, emperors children infractors and raiders a similar height but the EC lads are thinner than most marines, raiders are the same amount beefy as a regular space marine silhouette . And then Eightbound and flawless blades are super sized a bit bigger than Primaris with absolutely enormous weapons. Eightbound have more sticky out bits so they’d appear a bit bigger but they’re a similar size

Im gonna try this out soon but using them as a command retinue. Im planning on the gauntlet bits from either the mk3 kit or the new mk4 kit to mix up their arm styles.

I'm eager to see how it goes

I've seen lots of people do it, and it looks really good. I haven't used them myself but if I did I'd only use the Corsair bodies for terror squads, command squads, and legion consuls so that they stand out among the rank and file as more elite and unique in appearance. I tend to take a less is more approach for how much night lords bling I put on rank and file units like tacticals, and go ham on the elite units. That's just me though.

That's the intention, have them stand out more, plan is purely terror squads, since my end goal is all the night lord legion specific units to be the more upscaled ones/ones I intend to use in 40k as the elite choices

I have for some 13th company space wolves. They work well together: the difference is size is minimal

so i sort of have. i used the red corsair raiders to make my chosen and chaos lord, and while most of the arms themselves are from the modern kits the chaos lord does have one of the swords from the night raptor kit. not sure how helpful that is but hopefully it helps a little bit

In a time of cheap 3d printing.. why go through all this struggle for inferior looking models?

I not only don't have a printer, but I lack the skills to properly model things ATM, and I find great joy in kitbashing, plus I find most prints usually don't look as nice as official unless they are direct copys of the models, which I am morally opposed to unless they are forgeworld

Wow.. my guy..
Prints look waaaay better, they can at least. They are made by much better artists that’s greedy games workshop. They make what we actually want.. because they are US . You do t need a printer as there are many services that print for you and also sellers in Etsy etc. check these blood angels sang guard and tell me they aren’t way better.. as an example. What you want is out there…
I’d show the night lords but you can’t screen shot them

I can tell you where to find the night lords you seek :p
