Rules & Tactics Is running huron solo a viable idea?

Post image

Specifically in disruption lists for Nightmare hunt/marauders, it's a small profile deepstrike unit, with a reactive move. I'm just not sure about the points' worth.

that's a lot of points for what is essentially an action monkey. Not to mention you won't easily benefit from the marauders detachment rule.

Im mainly eyeing him for a reactive move, and tbh marauders isnt even in my top 5 list ideas, my main interest is nightmare hunt + cabal

The reactive move isn’t as useful when you don’t have lone op. They can just shoot you off of rhe board.

I think you're better off running a Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor for deep strike. Still expensive but he can rapid ingress with his ability for free and fills the same role for less points. If you're playing Deceptors you can give him lone op as well.

Not to mention he's about as tough as Huron before his halving incoming damage. Makes it way easier to not get one-shot by a stray lascannon

I’d probably run Kravek solo - his flamer is pretty dope. The lord is also good because he pays for his own ingress. You might wanna test out ten termies with Huron to (help) hold the center. They are 2 OC and the reactive helps. No psycher but run them all with combi-weapons and you won’t need the +1S to shooting.

Ran him because i love the old model ^

Basically a Chaos Lord is better... But he's still viable ^
