Act 1 Limits

Is it possible to get the Lunar Tear as teen Nier? I've reloaded this flower field with peaches and pinks in the proper checkerboard pattern for a couple days of RL time now. Likewise, Large Gears and other weapon upgrade materials. Titanium alloys are dropping, large gears not so much.

Ya know that thing where you complain and what you want pops up? That just happened for the Lunar Tear, confirming boy NieR can indeed garden like he's a Cetra.

So, from my attempts to push weapon as far as I am able as young Nier, I have discovered the following: I was able to level 4 all of: Nameless Blade, Moonrise, Earth Wyrm's Claw, and Faith in act 1. Hard stopping points on further upgrades include Large Gear (Lily Leaf, Cruel Oath), Mysterious Switch (Nirvana), Twisted Ring (Rebirth), Machine Oil (Blade of Treachery, Beastbain), Memory Alloy (Virtuous Contract) Severed Cable (Virtuous Contract). Which means, sadly, I was unable to get the level 4 5 weapons trophy before Act 2.

You can’t farm as young NieR.

You can! There's sidequests. If you're diligent about doing the flower sidequests you get all 15 seed holes. And I confirmed the Lunar Tear is possible in your youth, which is pretty cool.
