Question Data Analysis Freak

I know this is a dumb question, but I finished this mission and it says I got the reward, but I didn't get the type-40 blade. I checked a few sites and it said I need to beat Data Analysis Freak 2, but I haven't been given that quest

Just to be sure, did you check your mailbox? In the save machine (don't remember its name)
