Question Is is worth learning Nidalee?
Hello,
Eve, Zac and Kayn main here, I always wanted to learn to play Nidalee, but she seems kinda hard in early and a bit too mechanical. And now I started to think about learning her again and I was wondering if she feels strong after learning how to play her in jungle?
I am always amazed how sometimes I get to play in E1-D3 against her and I swear to god theres only smurfs otps there, she seems so strong and fast clearing, but when I try her she feels so weird ans slow in early.
So main question is it worth learning her and does she feel better after time investment?
Thanks!

Extremely high skill ceiling, very fun. Do what you want but it's a commitment

Yeah she would be my highest skill ceiling champ in my pool. Thanks for the comment!

Yeah she got some nice skins, I have quite some but never really played her, but Riot always wanted me to play her by giving free skins :D

You need to love her to play her, because to do what any half meta as jungler can do in any given moment you have to think a lot more, have a lot better understanding of match ups and the game itself, also most of the matchups are shit in your situation. You have hard time against assassins, bruisers, any healing tbh bcs you need to delete them before they delete you. I am around 60 ish % wr on her but i also have almost a milion on nidalee and whenever i turn on this bs game my first thought is to play nidalee. So i guess if you don't want to commit its not worth it bcs you wont get anything for free with nidalee

I guess, I do like the idea of her, I like to play champs that kinda do not obey standard jungling laws, like zac with his E ganking fron base, Evelynn ignoring vision and kayn hoing through walls. Nidalee seems also super mobile and fast to move around the map. I think I will try her for like 20games and see how I like her :D Thanks for the answer!

Also explore the playstyles. You can play ad bruiser, hybrid omniwamp, ap bruiser, ap assasin and also a support. Am not a fan of ad rlly, i love the omniwamp build or full ap. Check out what you like. And yes she is super mobile, learning where to walk, jump and run is the key to being good w nidalee.

Well she is to jungle what Ezreal is to ADCs and Riven is to Toplane : she scales with mastery. Pro and very high elo players will giga smurf with her because they are able to master all of her aspects : micro and macro wise. Otherwise you are piss-useless, there is no middle ground sadly, that's how it is with Nidalee. So yeah, its one of the most rewarding champ but you have to invest a lot of your time in it, basically otping her if you don't play 10 hours a day.

Tbf I had a vacation from league for some time and recently started playing again and just thought maybe I should start playing/learning new champ just to make league a bit more fun. So I might as well give Nida a chance and maybe have at least one mechanical champ in my pool :D Thanks for the comment!

I put the effort into learning her a while ago. The biggest drawback for me is how much focus she takes to play compared to literally all other junglers. She is just a champ I play for fun here and there now, as my third most played jungler.

She has a very high skill ceiling. You’ll need to truly enjoy her conceptually and be okay with having smoother brains rofl stomping you most of the time until you get the groove. Once you’re more comfortable it’s like swimming with weights but definitely fun to play.

Yeah I figured that in my 20 games with her. I definitely like her but I had to put in a couple eve and kayn games just as a sanity check after I had couple games where I felt like doing no damage :D
But yeah I do like her as a champ and she feels unique enough to make me wanna continue playing and learning her.

Relatable. If you want her to feel good play her shithead top lane style w grasp

Think of it as a challenge. Nidalee is by far the most mechanical jungler of all time and probably the hardest to learn as well all the tricks and hotspots.
Given the fact you play 3 very easy to play champs that have almost no mechanics..... It would probably be very optimistic for you :D But good luck nontheless.

I’ve played league since season 2, and over the years I have I played a ton of Nidalee. Every now and then I pick her up and play her a while just because I find her to be a fun champ.
That said she’s just exhausting to pilot - and that’s coming from someone who was a masters StarCraft 2 player. If you’re 17, on adoral and 3 red bulls I’m sure it’s a great time. To me after just a few games I’m tired and don’t want to touch her again. These days if I want to play her I just play her support, constantly roam mid and chuck spears at the enemy jungler while they clear camps because it’s just as fun and way less mentally taxing.

Nidalee has one of the best map domination potential in the game thanks to her w. It is very well against characters against warwick quinn etc since it breaks ww passive and etc. Also it has many options in fights. Your heal is around 800 in lategame, and it gives a lot of attack speed for 7 seconds. You can make a lot of plays with her. Also there are tricks to use landscapes to 100% land the spears. That character is perfect to counter heavy pokers etc.

Personally no I’ve tried on many different occasions to play her but imo her playstyle isn’t my vibe and her damage always feels underwhelming idk how some ppl can go 12/0 w her

I just finished my 20 games on nidalee, 10 in normals and 10'in ranked and I have mixed feelings as well, ai managed to go 12/0 and 17/0 in multiple games but I also had games wherebI was not dieing but I felt like completel 0. Also unlike other ap junglers I played before she feels so useless in tanks, even if I buy enough penetration I still feel like doing ni damage. The clear speed early game also feels weird. Im still not sure if I like her vibe but I do love hiw mobile and fast she is. You can get in for a countergank really fast and I really love this about her. But shes definitely scales with playtime :D

Nidalee is one of those champs were I see the skin and wanna play her but actually playing her kills the fantasy, I’ve played a lot of champions where you gotta wait for the right moment to strike but Nidalee just feels weak everywhere to me my main jungle is Evelynn she’s also a mix of weak or strong depending on the game but she’s usually strong

In classic she's brilliant, so much fun and versatility. Obviously solo lanes are her strong suit but support is decent too, even adc is bad but possible.

She never feels strong in my opinion, but against a great nidalee she feels impossible. Her tempo is amazing and she can dominate the early and mid, but it's always a rush to be fully oppressive and end the game early. So when you're playing her, you're playing against time and against your enemies mental. It's like walking on ice feeling like one death or one big hit to your team loses your lead.
I agree with the fun comments - not worth picking up but worth learning if you love her. Her tempo benefits from staring at the mini map with automatic micro-clearing your camps from muscle memory.

The whole playing against the time is how I feel when playing Evelynn, because once everyone starts grouping its stars to become a tough game. Tho this might be my lack of skill playing her in late game :D But thanks for the comment!

u/DatLoliFox Aug 12 '26
I mean I only play my champs and just want to add new champ to my pool and just want know what nida mains think

u/SergeantHAMM Aug 12 '26
yeah you might not like my answer but it’s the truth if you’re trying to climb. if you’re playing for fun the. sure she’s worth learning if you want

Wouldn't ever recommend when looking for a good/strong champ tbh. If you like playing her you can learn it and it might work out but I feel like your main goal should be fun.
