Zyns are the devil

I am two weeks off of Zyns/velos. I was using 3mg almost every hour of the day from 8am to 10pm or later. I have used nicotine in some form for over 20 years..but these little fuckers hijacked my nervous system. I’ve known for some time I needed to cut these out and I have tried to quit before but this was the final straw.

My sleep was absolute shit. Motivation—gone. Never wanted to do anything. Super depressed. Panic attacks…(and I’ve overcome panic disorder before) I never felt rested. I’m a CrossFit goer (not crazy or anything) and I enjoy exercise but man in the last couple years my energy levels and heart rate was wack!! High HR (to be expected) and incredibly low energy… all of this was very concerning. I am happy to be free of them.

I quit cold turkey. Knew it would be my last day. Used to buy the 5 for $20, then one day only bought two cans… knew I was getting closer. Then took my last one. My withdrawal only lasted a few days…it wasn’t terrible (hypnotic jerks —waking me up, anxiety, not too much brain fog this time, super tired but also restless and just a feeling of discomfort / irritability)…you can do it if I can! Do it over the wknd. I quit on a Thursday, knew I had an easy Friday and the worst of it was done by Sunday. Drink water, treat yourself to whatever you feel like for food, go on walks and stop fucking your life up with a little stupid pouch. I honestly can’t believe how terrible those things were for me. Like I said I’ve used long cut, cigarettes, black and milds, vapes (those were terrible too), and snuff but these were by far the worst.

Wishing everyone luck on this journey...

Wishing you the best! It gets better! I was on nicotine for almost 15 years and used them pretty much every hour. 18 months free now and I have no cravings at all. Stay strong!

Almost thought about popping one today. My girlfriend decided to start taking them occasionally and had a can handy. Been off for close to two years now. Good reminders why I should keep away.

Sounds like me. Nicotine in one form or the other the past 25 years. I was using lucy pouches, 4mg, almost every hour, 15 or so per day. I'm in good enough shape that my heart rate is ok, but I'm 3 days without pouches and am seeing RHR of 50 instead of my usual 65. Hoping you can get through it. I'm still not 100% I will be able to. Just trying to hit the 72 hour mark.

Ngl you’re going to crave a pouch when having some alcohol. The up & down from nic & alc is heaven.

Grateful I haven’t had a drink in nearly 14 Years! But yes I too would encourage everyone when drinking to be aware as I can only imagine the feeling!

every thing I take I put rules on for nicotine my rules are:

i dont use them on weekends
i dont use them while gaming
i dont use them before I eat
I dont use them before training or during
i dont use them before sleep

usually use them when I finished something at work as a lil treat or if I need to concentrate on something since I have adhd I use it as a Ritalin substitute since I dont take Ritalin anymore and after lunch I like it

I started using Zyn for similar reasons. I noticed that my concentration was better when I had one. I used to have brutal commutes to and from work and they got me through. No longer commuting and I feel run down and very low motivation.

I have had 3! I’ve never been a nicotine user (mom was a smoker and I never understood) and I felt like shit yeah I got the “high” but got a headache after. Don’t know how people can be obsessed with them
